This really fucks me off. No tears at all during the past 6 months for ANY of those babies but when talking about how being a murdering bitch has ruined HER life she is sobbing?

🩷I was just reading the sentencing remarks for little Lola James. The judge said this regarding evidence for multiple assaults against all children in the house and made me think of what we were discussing earlier.

- Was looking after babies in the same room as both poisoned babies
- Set up the IV infusions for both poisoned babies
- Signed the prescription to say she gave the medication that was poisoned both times
- Was on shift for every single suspicious death in the unit, and every suspicious death in the unit, including those with high proof of deliberate harm
- Was not looking after babies in the same room as either poisoned baby (the other nurses were Mary Griffiths, and an unnamed nurse for Child F)
- Did not set up the IV infusion for either poisoned baby

It's quite overwhelming really isn't it, I've always thought she's guilty but listened to the evidence with an open mind (ish), but it's really true, she really did make a choice, enter those rooms and murder those children. There is no other plausible explanation, a nurse, who is supposed to be caring, and kind and safe, murdered babies, over and over and over again.
Fucking hell, I hope she rots.

I was being funny and sarcastic (in equal measure). I wouldn't be seen dead in Matalan underwear. Let alone full briefs with lace.

Feels like it’s all wrapped up very neatly for the prosecution. They deserve a massive drink after they’re done. To present 22 complex cases so well with all the i’s dotted and all the t’s crossed is a massive task but it feels like they’ve done it really well.
Curious to hear what the defence try to come up with but looking forward to the prosecutions closing statemenT.

I was convinced she wouldn’t testify, as surely her defence lawyer would discourage it. But reading her police interviews she obviously thinks she’s quite clever, and her thirst for attention is pretty limitless.
it’s also possible that BM doesn’t have much else to defend her with…the prosecution have been really convincing. She will be sitting with crocodile tears and being poor nice Lucy, soaking up the drama and grief. I feel for the poor parents.

Hearing this today makes me think she’s more likely to take the stand 
She thinks she has a believable answer for everything she’s done. She felt confident enough to answer the police. She’s had years to prepare in her head If she just sticks to this line and sheds a few tears she will believe she can win the jury round.

I suppose if I found her guilty beyond reasonable doubt of killing babies X, Y, Z then the fact I have decided she is a killer makes the weaker cases much stronger imo.
Baby K for example. Dr J’s testimony is of her standing over the baby doing nothing whilst the baby desaturates. Lucy denies this. In isolation this is a weak case as t’s his word against Lucy’s and if it was the only case would probably be found NG.
But am I going to believe someone I’ve found guilty beyond reasonable of other murders/attempted murders that she wasn’t just stood watching a baby desaturate with a misplaced nasal tube? No chance!! Knowing and deciding she is a killer of other babies reduces any doubt on weaker cases.
Same with baby E. the mum walked in on her baby bleeding and Lucy doing nothing about it and was promptly sent away by her. Lucy denies this and has been proven the timing of her notes are wrong. If I’ve found her guilty of other murders, doesn’t it make it far more likely that Lucy was mid-harming the baby and has tried to cover it up because the mum walked in on her?

if you thought it was your competency being questioned then why would your mind go to the police? (If you are innocent).

Literally that’s it for me as well! Her reaction just says it all. She doesn’t give a shit about the babies passing away, she doesn’t even show a scrap of concern that it could be a staff member doing it, there’s no worry or concern not even one bit. The only time she’s shown any sort of emotion to the situation is her asking if she can have ANOTHER poorly baby to get over one that had passed under her care. If I was on that jury that’s all I’d need and it’d take a miracle at this point to change my mind

What also makes no sense is why they would send a paediatric nurse on a course that is designed to prevent a complication that only ever appears in adults according to her
