I hope the prosecution tear her apart and tie her in knots completely.

I expect to hear a lot of objections from Bowel Movement tho to try and stop her slipping up too much 🙄

I get the vibe she’ll make herself look like a proper vulnerable woman, how she’s no self esteem and that’s why she wrote them notes, how she’s useless and tit and all she wanted was to be a good fluffy children’s nurse who wouldn’t hurt a fly
Do we think she’ll attempt a ‘faint’? 🤣

faint one hundred percent
“ I have no words “ will feature heavily and I am sure an attempt to leave the dock screeching “ I can’t do this anymore “ will pop up now and again.

She may also try to say that ward was understaffed, under-equipped & they didn’t have the capacity to care for some of the sicker/younger babies. She brought that up a lot in police interviews & BM has used that argument in cross-examining some of the prosecution witnesses, so I’m guessing that’ll be where BM lays the blame. The insulin cases are anomalies so let’s see how he tries to sidestep those.

While we're all waiting to see what happens tomorrow (thoughts and prayers to Matalan and its share price if it goes bits up for her) I'd like to note that about a year ago my best friend/ex from long ago text me out of the blue going 'you know you look like a thin Beverley Allitt, right?' and my first thought was 'she noticed I lost weight!'.

I do, though. I've always considered myself fairly decent looking but there's ol' Bev, staring back at me like I'm looking in a mirror when I'm on my insomnia-induced serial killer sprees (research not actual murders tyvm).

Anyway it's marginally better than the maths teacher I had who was a dead ringer for Shipman.

So is anyone going to court tomorrow. If so can you confirm if she's wearing this with kitten heels?

I was thinking what if you could ask her one question on the stand what would it be?
The obvious one is why but as she’s not going to admit to anything that’s pointless.
So my question to her would be, there was 2 babies poisoned with insulin, how do you think that happened?
i would be curious to see if she blamed anyone in particular or just said she has no idea and not her.
Anyone else got any better questions!

Her Mum and Dad taking the stand after hearing all the prosecutions evidence and hearing from the families and her ex colleagues, that will be interesting.
Wait what? I’m miles behind on this case but omg that’s actually crazy. I’m kinda struggling to understand why they’re doing it though, if it’s just to give a character reference for her then I don’t think it carries much weight. They’re her parents so they’re obviously gonna be like yeah she’s an angel lmao

She can try that if she likes but it still won't make sense because all babies and all shifts would have had the same outcomes surely not just the ones 'nice' Lucy was on!

For me I'd like her questioning about the training and her understanding of air embolus. She could lie easily to the police because of their lack of medical knowledge...she will squirm in the courtroom.

I wonder if her mum and dad are taking the stand to say how overworked she was they witnessed how distressed she was with it all. She went to them for a break as it was all so upsetting type thing. They packed the handover sheets as they were starting to.move her belongings and she was too upset to do so but she decided to stay .
Can see it now the stuff they will try to pedal.

I've followed this thread a while but never post, you guys do such a good job of following the facts I haven't felt the need to. Someone probably has already mentioned this (sorry if you have), but it crossed my mind and thought I would put my 2 pennies worth in.
With regards to the Facebook searches, I do wonder if it wasn't her being a grief tourist (although very possible), but rather I wonder if she wanted to check if anyone was on to her. Perhaps she was checking to see if her name had been involved negatively in any way by anyone? Might have been giving her a false sense of security to continue what she was (allegedly) doing. Just a thought 🤔

Plenty of good questions have already been asked here, including yours, but I’d like her to answer these:

‘Lucy, at CoCH you were cross that you were not allowed in Room 1 (where Baby C was) after the death of Baby B & told a colleague that being unable to do so was eating you up.

When asked by police why, you said because it would’ve been cathartic to see a baby who is well (Baby C) in the same cot as one who had died (Baby B).

However, you’d also told the colleague that when you worked at Liverpool Women’s Hospital, they gave you “a dying baby [Baby X] in the same cot as one who’d just died” and that you found this therapeutic on some level.

1. Explain how & why being given a “dying baby” at LWH (straight after the one you’d lost) was a cathartic/therapeutic experience?

2. Compare the two experiences at CoCH & LWH. How did seeing a “well baby” at CoCH (Baby C) instead of “dying one” at LWH (Baby X) make you feel?

3. So which is it that really helps you move on: seeing a well baby in the place of a dead one, or a dying one in the place of a dead one?

The thing is, she did some FB searches strategically - i.e. on the anniversary of one baby's death, and on Xmas Day, etc. If she was just fishing for information or potential accusations, then there's no reason for her to assume they'll only be made on anniversaries & Xmas.
Also, immature as LL is emotionally (judging by the drivel on her personal notes), she is intelligent enough to know that if a parent suspected malpractice, then they'd complain through the proper channels; and if they'd suspected criminal behaviour, then they'd go straight to police -- they wouldn't post that on FB.

Up until a month ago, I was convinced she was a twisted person who got pleasure from hearing the outpour of grief that parents wrote on FB about losing their babies. Her awkward behaviour bathing the dead baby and telling the baby's mum how he'd smiled & loved his first bath felt like a calculated attempt at twisting the knife.

However, reading the comments posters have made here, I've since changed my mind & agree that she's attention-seeking more than anything else. That doesn't mean she's not twisted and doesn't enjoy seeing others suffer, but I think that on the whole she enjoys attention and validation from others more than anything else. This I think is her main motive, so perhaps she was looking at FB to see if parents had said anything kind about her and how brilliant she was caring for their babies.
