This is what was said… so he’s messaging her after the final 3 babies about the care and paperwork.

The doctor messages Letby on Monday, June 27 about the care for Child Q, and a Facebook conversation takes place.

A reference is made to clarify paperwork for a prescription for Child O during the resuscitation attempts.

My understanding is this

15-22 June - Lucy in Ibiza
23rd June - 1st shift back baby O dies
24th June - 2nd shift back baby P died
25th June - 3rd shift back baby Q nearly dies

27th June - Dr Noname messages Lucy about baby O and baby Q but not clear what was specifically said

29th June - datix report logged re baby O but not clear who

30th June - Lucy logs datix report re baby O
It's almost like she knew people were close to finding out so wanted to take out as many as she could, while she could. ☹

Today has been horrific, can’t imagine what the parents must be feeling listening to this today.
I have gone off Dr noname, why is he texting about babies outwith work, I wouldn’t be happy if it was my child.
I guess he had no clue about anyone been suspicious of her even at this late stage,so maybe consultants were not talking to the Drs about their concern.
it looks like she’s came back from holiday and if She’s done it had a severe case of holiday blues..
and if she’s done it she won’t need a scarf for where she’s going !

Is there any clarification if any babies died whilst she was away in Ibiza?

Why would the Dr claim everything was safe and well organised? Is he deluded or is that how it came across?
I think she probably was well organised. There have been a few references which seem to suggest she was some what bossy and controlling of situations. For example, from today’s transcripts, it notes her referencing herself as direct when organising the baptism. I think she was viewed as a highly competent nurse and was left to her own devices a lot of the time. I can well imagine that she made the shift feel safe, organised and controlled creating the perfect environment and opportunities for her to sabotage those poor babies.

in fairness if i was going to murder babies i’d be bossy and well organised too, keep anyone from sniffing about

Or she just got cocky because she had got away with it for so long. She might have thought the student nurse / busy unit was a perfect cover so took more of a risk. Maybe she got more of a thrill from it as I think serial killers often escalate like we see from the methods at this late stage.

I’m struggling to see how anybody could believe that this was a natural problem for these babies that happened whenever Letby was alone with them.

I mentioned prof SK evidence about air embolism that she gave during baby E’s evidence. It sounds exactly like what the parents are describing about their poor boys. The bright blue veins and changing colours.

They have never mentioned other babies outside of the ones she’s charged with harming. I don’t know if defence can use that or not if there were any. I’m guessing not because wouldn’t they have to investigate and evidence the clinical history on those babies to prove they died in a similar way but Lucy couldn’t possibly have been involved?

thats what i was thinking. Surely if there was some then it throws the whole thing out of the water? Would we not have heard about it by now?

if there was no deaths/strange problems whilst in Ibiza then I think that is really telling. Far more than a coincidence when you look at everything

Tofino that timeline is chilling.
Away for a week and within 3 days of being back she'd murdered 2 and attempted to murder a third.

I hope everyone in the court today has someone at home to hug them x

Mark’s write up
Little bit more detail from dad here and in the context of what I’ve just shared reg air embolism I think it’s quite incredible.
She filled this baby with air and then she injected it into his circulation too. This baby was absolutely fine. She is pure evil.

The only thing I’m not sure of is if defence have any right to investigate other babies that prosecution have not presented as part of the case?

We know Dr Evans investigated 33 cases plus 2 insulin ones.

She is on trial for 22 charges (and one was dropped). I don’t know if defence are only allowed the evidence for the ones she’s charged with? Will they have access to the other ones that for some reason were not included?

If anyone knows it would be great to hear how it works.

CPS are obliged to disclose unused material that is relevant to the defence (I.e it undermines the prosecution or assists the defence).

hmm that’s interesting. I would expect then that one of the sides would use it in their favour? If no deaths on holiday it helps prosecution (eg everytime Lucy was away from the department there were no unexplained sudden collapses’) Or if there were, then it helps the defence.
