Someone F**K me pink blue and yellow

Facebook groups very quiet today, although one of them seems to be entertaining the idea this was a mistake and it could have been anyone on the ward.

Am I really missing something? The defence have rolled over and accepted this Doctors statement. Am I actually going crazy?????,,
They are delusional I give up with the groups they are not at all normal

the fact the defence did not want to question the Dr after the Dr admits it was extreme High results Makes me think letby is screwed . I do think she did it absolutely no doubt in my mind now

I don't think it's too odd the defence hasn't questioned Dr Gibbs, they accept the baby was poisoned by insulin and Dr Gibbs didn't outright accuse LL of doing it.

Ben has always argued the other cases but this is the most with evidence that actually baby F was poisoned and suddenly he doesn’t want to question this DR . He was awfull the other week to the hospital staff on the stand even the way he spoke to child E and F parents was shocking .

Could the relevance of the machine video we heard about today be to prove that nothing was added to the TPN/through the line after it was hung because it didn’t alarm or signal an interruption to the feed? So it was continuous after being hung until the line tissued and was changed later in the day - but by then the poisoning was already happening as shown and not disputed with the blood sugar results?

I’m seriously thinking Myers knows she’s done it, and from a moral standpoint he’s not going to try and argue this one.

Alrhough I’m probably being completely delusional there

I think the other baby I can’t remember what one but she was not good at Chester then was moved to another hospital and got better then she moved back to Chester and celebrated and then suddenly took a bad turn correct me if I’m wrong but was letby away aswell when she then got better I might be mixed up

I think that case will be intresting especially how she was doing so well then suddenly collapsed

Hold tight team. Get the feeling this pump business is building up to something very calculated.

I’m wondering did they cover it up thinking staff had made a mistake but baby is fine so left it
I’m not saying all staff but many things get covered up in the NHS but I don’t think for one minute they imagined a baby killer they probably just thought being under staffed things happen
I’m still only catching up so slightly behind. I’m not defending the hospital or staff for one minute, ofc they should have investigated those readings, and I do hope in future massive discrepancies like this are followed up. But I’m going back to the point of the staff would never really at this point imagine they have a poisoner on the loose, they had no reason to ever suspect they did, even with such strange anomalies as this. There’s been various posts about the trust in colleagues, and how you just wouldn’t expect it. The prosecution stated this yesterday, and I reallly do think that this is why they didn’t investigate further, along with the fact they maybe didn’t want to upset parents of E&F further after E and asking for transfer too. I know that doesn’t make it right, but I can see why they just didn’t expect it to be down to an insulin poisoning. This was Pros yesterday:

It’s so sad 😞 I’ve worked in health care over ten years and I could never imagine any of the staff doing such a thing so I can totally see why they didn’t follow anything up x

Yes sadly you’re thinking of G, although there were several babies that miraculously improved once out of LL’s evil clutches 😩

Yes I’m not for one minute saying it’s right, but just I can understand how unfortunately it happened. If there’s lessons to be learnt after this, as I suspect there will be (same as after shipman and BA), then hopefully it’ll never happen again 😔

I see what you're saying but some things...this being one, just should not be covered up... a vulnerable neonate being found to have a huge /life threatening amount of insulin in his system, irrelevant of all the other cases, it should have been investigated....I just don't see why it wasn't, and again it's allowed her, if guilty to continue, it's beyond shocking to me that it wasn't🙄

Sends shivers down my spine now thinking of her alone with baby E and blood being on their face screaming, potentially a result of trauma now we know 100% there’s a murderer on the ward.

I know that no babies on the ward were receiving insulin but even if someone accidentally gave the baby a dose, would a normal dose cause the insulin readings to be that high? Or would it have to be two accidents - wrong baby and huge dose ?

Also the insluin the babies had were fast acting so wouldn’t explain why this baby had low blood sugars for so long even with treatment. So again, even if the wrong baby and wrong dose was an accident, the baby would have recovered a lot quicker with the dextrose treatment.

I just don’t know how the accident argument would ever stand, and even BM isn’t even suggesting it at this stage.

I still can’t get my head around another missed opportunity for the hospital to safeguard these babies from harm, especially those much further down the line.
I've just said the same..it's shocking to think, maybe the other babies could have been spared 💔💔

I completely agree. I honestly do think this was their biggest chance. I just don’t feel like it is at all what the trial is about unfortunately, their reckoning for that will come. I am sure they live with it every day. The thing is one doctor was already hushed up, why would they believe it was intentional and then would they be believed if they tried to raise the alarm? Would they be accused of being a trouble maker. It’s hard to stand up and even if they had, would the powers that be have listened. This happens in many cases unfortunately because until these crimes happen so much so that it cannot be coincidence, they do largely get dismissed as being a possibility. I am shocked the top dog just left for another trust after this.

I'm sorry I have to disagree. Insulin is a life saver, but also, it's so easily accessible to anyone with access to the fridge keys...it can then become as lethal as a loaded gun, in the wrong hands.
I don't think it's as much as they thought they may have a killer in their midst....the fact that baby had that amount of insulin in his little body should have been investigated as soon as it was discovered, taking LL and other babies out of the equation, it just should have been😢

Took some time out and it was glorious. Highly recommend to soothe the soul a little.

Catching up on today. So baby F *was* given a legit prescription of insulin. I wonder what the videos are all about/the point being made.

I do completely agree, I just can see why at the time they wouldn’t have ever thought that was the reason. And as the parents just wanted to get F home quickly, I can see why once he stabilised the staff didn’t do any more follow up if it had meant him staying in hospital longer. I hope this has an impact on any future incidents though I really do. And please don’t think I’m disagreeing with you, I really agree with what you’re saying, I’m just seeing the perspective of where the staff may have been on it. She should have been stopped long before Q, unfortunately she used certain things to her advantage, and was so very calculating which also helped her stay under the radar too😩

I keep hoping she just confesses and puts an end to this entire thing for everyone. Or BM holds his hands up and says he can’t continue

Oh I wasn’t justifying it . I agree it absolutely should have been investigated I think what we have is short staffed like every NHS hospital and things being let go like this instead of investigation also baby E should have had a PM . It’s happening in many hospitals and it’s wrong but unfortunately for Chester it’s allowed a serial killer to commit the crimes and go unnoticed .
