I think we all agree mentally there is something wrong with her, no sane person would do this. But as for going down the road of using some mental defence kind of thing, I’m pretty sure that’s definitely been ruled out on here. Didn’t BA only end getting transferred to her secure unit after the conviction and prison?
BA got transferred because of an eating disorder according to one documentary I watched.
I think they would be assessed before the trial started and probably vaguely during police interviews. They are always looked at quite closely on police programs and documentaries.

Thank you for confirming that, I did think she originally went to prison and then was transferred. I’ve seen some on here think LL will maybe kill herself if found guilty. Wouldn’t surprise me though if she managed to get transferred for something though, she’s scheming enough to come up with something, I think anyway

Yes so my understanding of the judicial system is she would need to be found competent to stand trial - ordinarily One sees 3 Psychiatrists for this to be determined. The fact she’s at least mentally competent to stand trial & subsequently not have issues understanding, is absolutely baffling. Ordinarily those aiming for a not guilty by reason of insanity, don’t go for a jury trial AND if there’s been no mention of that being on the table, she’s just plain ducked in the head. Absolutely baffling!!!! What a horrific time for those families to have to relive this, but God hoping she gets what she deserves.

I’m pretty sure someone on here explained she definitely can’t go for a NG by reason of insanity. I’m not an expert in this, so hopefully the fella that posted about this originally will answer this one for you, or at least clarify the ins and outs of mental assessments for suspects

I don’t think she’ll kill herself. She’ll still be able to manipulate and cause drama wherever she is. Imagine, all those caged woman, and staff, to stir up.
She might do a BA and try to get into Rampton though.

BA served one week in jail, which was spent not eating etc so was transferred to Rampton if I'm not mistaken, which she has remained since. She knew Rampton would have been easier than prison. It really makes me mad that she got moved.

I have a question for all fellas on here, hopefully it will be answered in morning before court starts for the day. I’ve been on this thread from the very first one, reading and in my head agreeing/disagreeing with points, but never properly joined it or commented until recently. But I remember A LOT of the first few pages, maybe actually even threads, there was loads of debate whether or not the FB searches and the taking of notes home meant anything. Loads and loads said Fb searches were ok, loads of people said they were kind of nosey so didn’t see anything wrong/sinister in them, others were slightly horrified about being looked up.
Result of this; many fellas checked their FB privacy settings straight after this🤣.

There was also loads of opinions in the next great debate, taking the nursing notes home. Again loads of healthcare workers said they’d accidentally done it/it’s easy done.

Most fellas that took notes home with them though, said they destroyed them once they realised, or took them back and didn’t keep them for 3 years.

SO FELLAS, my question is this; Given everything we have heard and know so far, are there any fellas on here that are still of the opinion the FB searches were innocent rather than sinister? Are there any fellas still on here that still think the handover/medicine drug lists for at least three different babies in this case that were found at LL’s home 3 years later are still innocent rather than sinister?

*****not whether FB look ups in general are ok or not, or whether taking notes home is ok or not in general, I’m asking this specifically about LL doing it*****

If anyone will answer this, they will not be attacked for their opinion in anyway. If they believe either of these things are still innocent, that’s their opinion and it doesn’t make it wrong. It’s just opinions on this one not facts. Nor does anyone have to justify their answer. I’m genuinely just really really curious to see if the people that thought her doing either of these things were innocent, have changed their minds about it since those first threads. And even if people think the Fb or notes thing is now sinister/suspicious, it doesn’t necessarily mean they think LL is now guilty. I just really want to know if peoples thoughts on these two particular things have changed.

Thanks in advance fellas

If she went for NG by reason of insanity, she's basically saying she did it, but was insane at the time. This would no way fly due to the length of time the deaths were over. She'd also be detained indefinitely in a secure mental health hospital. Not fun.

She may well have a mental disorder like a personality disorder, but I honestly believe any mental illness LL had would be incidental to these killings rather than the cause of them. If LL believed she was being "told by God" to kill, for example, she would have become more erratic at work and there would be evidence of her responding to auditory or visual hallucinations, or having paranoid or unusual ideation. She could have depression or something like that, but that doesn't normally lead to murdering babies.

Her telling people off when they called for help, thereby possibly having the effect that staff wouldn't later call for help if they saw her near a crashed baby, shows a warped but logical mind to me. God this woman is disgusting.

Ahhh wonderfully put! I didn’t consider that she’d essentially be pleading guilty by insanity plea - only really thought about trying to ‘get off easy’. I guess she really is hoping to be found not guilty then?! I’d say the investigation process in the UK is pretty great, it’s the sentencing where things get crappy. It’s absolutely disgusting, I actually cannot read full details; I’m sure a lot of people in this thread have children (me included)

I now think that even though taking home handover stuff is something I have done, the pattern of it means that LL was collecting trophies.

I have always personally felt that looking the families up on Facebook was a bit invasive, for me, but totally see why others find it different. But it's not for me if I am honest.

I can totally understand the card as a one off kind of thing; the paramedic that was called out to me at my parents house (the one that saved my life), ended up being the same one that pronounced my younger brother dead just 9 months later😩. She sent a card to my mum, she said she never ever sent cards to any patients ever, but in our families case she just had to. Think that is perfectly understandable and tbh bit of a real freak thing for her to be the same paramedic at both incidents (to quote LL here🙄 I actually believe it was fate) anyway moving swiftly on from the Me Rail, I can understand cards being sent out occasionally as a one off for reasons such as the paramedic in the me rail, BUT why on earth would you have a picture of it on your phone as well. It’s beyond creepy, beyond sinister. It’s only explanation to me is a trophy/souvenir
Maybe she wanted to show what she had written to someone to make sure they agreed it was ok, as it doesn’t sound like she usually does it so may be worried about writing the wrong thing and therefore potentially making it worse for the parents? Maybe the other person was busy at the time so she closed the envelope ready for the parents but could go and take it back to redo it if she did show someone the pic and they thought she should change it.
I’d think if it was a trophy or her reveling in their grief then she’d make it a thing she did every time but as far as we know it was a one time thing?

BA was doing stuff like eating her own rit to make sure she went to Rampton. Can't say she wasn't committed

Evening fella 😉 not commented much lately but I’ve kept up 😂

I’m still firmly in the NG camp. I still think the fb searches and notes at home are innocent. Can’t really explain why, I just read the updated everyday and just this overwhelming feeling she didn’t do this. Happy to be wrong of course. I’ve spent a lot of time almost trying to find her guilty as I’m aware the majority here are team G and so it’s kind of made me feel I’m wrong or must be missing something but honestly, thus far… there is nothing concrete IMO 🤷🏻‍♀️

I can totally understand the card as a one off kind of thing; the paramedic that was called out to me at my parents house (the one that saved my life), ended up being the same one that pronounced my younger brother dead just 9 months later😩. Just to throw in another opinion fella… I’ve got screenshots of cards on my phone. Couldn’t tell you why, it’s just something I do. I screenshot all sorts… my takeout order confirmation (even though I get an email) my sons newsletters from school (again I’ve got the email) Party invites (I have them in WhatsApp media) literally so many screenshots that I’m aware I don’t need. Was recently SIL bday and I’ve got the cards screenshot 🤷🏻‍♀️ granted not a sympathy card, I’ve only ever sent them in person however I did send my mum a pic of one I grabbed when my neighbour passed. I’m not an odd ball (is that convincing 😂) it’s just something I do for no reason 🤣 so again, this is something I don’t find sinister at all x

She absolutely was collecting trophies. It's one thing to accidentally bring notes home but to do it repeatedly and for babies you weren't even charged with is another. There's also the matter of the photo of the sympathy card she kept on her phone: she already admitted sending the card was out of character but why on earth would you keep a picture of it on your phone? I'll admit, at my MH unit, when a patient is discharged we often do write a card: there are some we work with for a really long time and we want to wish them well for the future. However, it's multiple people signing it and it would never occur to me or my colleagues to snap a photo of it to keep. To me she's 100% using the card, the handover notes and the FB searches to relive what she did.
I've not been keeping up with the thread-it's now come out she had more handover sheets?! How come that didn't get mentioned at the beginning of the trial when they said she had one for another baby? Yeh I think she was collecting trophies too, and inserting herself into the lives of her *alleged* victims. Do we know what she wrote in the card?

How can the location be unconfirmed, that blows my mind that they didn't know. Gives me visions of the baby out the back having a fag, dragging its incubator into the smoking shelter with it!
😂

Has anyone here seen the '90s movie 'Baby's Day Out'? It makes me think of that. Tiny baby scooting all around the ward.

All you fellas need to stop slating matalan/peacocks as my safari now assumes that I can afford net-a-porter 😂View attachment 1717933
I get the same ads! :ROFLMAO: If they think I'm paying over £600 for that weird black dress then they're very wrong.

On another note I’ve just seen Dr Sarah Rylance on Twitter, she now works in Geneva, Switzerland for the WHO specialising in Respiratory matters.
This is good info. I'd assume she's a reliable fella.

Yeah the card is so strange, I don’t see how people can’t see that. It’s just way overstepping the mark. Fair enough if the whole team sent it, but not just her.
It was like she was revelling in their grief by sending them that card, like she got some sick enjoyment from it.
It also might be her way of trying to ingratiate herself with the families. In the Allitt case, for example, she became godparent to at least one of the kids. Perhaps LL believed it would ease suspicions and make the parents more willing to come to her defense.

I didn’t think the FB searches were necessarily anything really bad…until it came out that she was searching for them in groups, they were all victims in this case and they they were happening on their anniversaries and Xmas day etc. It’s not like she was searching for loads of different babies families or families of babies who had died or nearly died who aren’t part of this case or on random days.

This. In isolation it’s probably innocent though still a bit wrong for her to be doing it (imo). It has been said she searched for lots of people but there’s not much context with this - is it multiple parents of babies not in the case or just random people? Same with the handover sheets. One or two, although wrong to have them at home and we’ve all agreed we take them back as soon as, but when it’s notes with her victims on makes it much more suspicious to me. Especially given the time frame you wouldn’t keep something like that for so long.

Morning Fella

I’m guilty of a Facebook stalk and I think I could offer my services to the MI5 I’m that good 😂 however My opinion is in this particular situation and only pertaining LL it’s dodgy AF - had she been able to say “yes I searched I know it looks bad but their babies death really bothered me and I wanted to know try were ok” it wouldn’t be as bad, but for her to be like 🤷‍♀️ nah I don’t remember.
As for the notes keeping them 3 years on is also sketchy.

I’m in the guilty camp and nothing so far has casted doubt for me enough to change my mind. I feel as though Ben fella knows is it to deep down, how he’s not a raging alcoholic to help him to cope with trying to defend a baby murder is beyond me.

i think you have kind of explained it though. It’s something you do a lot of, and it’s screenshots of lots of different things and that would be backed up if your phone was searched. Not just a photo of a card you sent to a family whose baby you are now on trial for murdering.

We haven’t heard if Lucy has given any sort of explanation yet but I think it really depends what her response is and how credible it is. Did she send the photo to anyone and what did the message to that person say? Does she usually take photos of things like this to remember things or just the family whose baby she’s on trial for murdering?
