Sorry but we haven’t heard of any parents doing this? The police had to approach the majority of the parents to say that their child’s death that they thought was natural, possibly wasn’t. There was even a set of parents who refused a post mortem on their baby, so they definitely didn’t suspect that the hospital was at any great fault. And they’re still going to have to pay compo to these parents, regardless of whether LL is found guilty or not - this doesn’t get them out of anything except taking ultimate responsibility, which I’m sure they’d rather have done instead of bringing all their failings under the microscope of a police investigation and the court.

We haven’t no… defence might show they have? You make a good point, as I’ve said I’m open to having my mind changed. For me i need concrete stuff. I just saw it as if they accuse her, she’s found not guilty then after that, that’s when the complaints will start? Say your child dies, it’s explained why, then sometime after you find out the hospital is failing and neglegant and pinned as responsible for multiple deaths… you don’t hear that and ignore it? You start to question if your child’s death was as they said etc and that’s where the complaints and compo cases start? Thats what I meant and what makes sense to me

'She then agreed that she had been the only person in the room' sounds like the police have put that to her and she's said yes. If she is innocent we don't know what her mental state would have been at that time.

I beg to differ. LL admitted herself, in her 3rd police interview, that she was the only one there, she had a reason to lie, and she did.
During a ‘crash’ like this it would be difficult to remember, who or where everyone was. That would not be the kind of detail you would expect to have to concentrate on or remember. Would you really think you would have to remember as it could lead to a police investigation?
Nurse SE was upset. The shift leader would be trying to sort out the poor baby, parents, other staff, care for other babies etc, never mind try to get nurse LL back to where she should have been!
I think the Prosecution will shoot the Defence’s argument down in flames.

I guess the same could be said for Lucy's recollection of where she was at the time then.
