I haven't been following the case as closely as some of you, but I'm veering towards guilty. The air embolism thing sounds like she's pretending - because if she admits to knowing it then she's aware it makes her look bad. Feigning ignorance is what someone who's trying to pass themselves off as innocent would do.

Then there was the testimony from parents who said LL tried to take their baby from them before he'd passed away and said: "You've said your goodbyes". I mean, what nurse would say or act like that?

Appreciate there's still lots of evidence to hear, but the above, plus all the 'coincidences' doesn't make her look innocent at this point in time. Just my view, though.

I didn’t see her say she didn’t know what an air embolus was, I thought she said something more like she wasn’t entirely sure about them which is likely given how rare they are,

But they are rare thankfully because nurses know how dangerous they are and taught from early days as a student to make sure all air bubbles are removed from lines and syringes.

Someone on another thread said it’s as if she’s grabbed it and it’s a telephone conversation and she’s writing stuff down as she’s rambling. Of course we don’t know but I think this fits in perfectly. Could be legal, a friend, a union rep?!

Also just catching up from previous posts about LL going up the ladder quickly, I didn’t realise she was a band 6 I thought she was a senior band 5

The person on the other end of the phone would be used as a witness for the defence. No doubt about that.

Concerning the note, shall we highlight how many times she did actually appear to proclaim she was guilty in comparison to the one part which she apparently states she didn’t.

The obvious
1, I killed them on purpose because I’m not good enough too care for them!

2, I am evil, I did this!

3, I did this!

4, I am an awful person I pay every day for that. (Why are you an awful person ?)

5, I am a horrible and evil person (why are you if you are innocent?)

6, I don’t deserve to live (why if you haven’t done anything wrong ?)

The only hint of a proclamation of innocence is imo “ I haven’t done anything wrong” - that doesn’t even say innocent. That sounds like her trying to justify her actions to her self. It’s Everyone else’s fault, police forget, slander, discrimination, victimisation! It’s their fault not mine if they hadn’t pushed me I wouldn’t have acted.

Exactly! To me that note screams guilt and nothing else. I am interested to hear what her diary entries reveal though and I’m not basing my entire guilty opinion on that note. In isolation it wouldn’t mean much at all , but it’s not in isolation.

I just don't see why anyone would think that tit nevermind write it down if they had nothing to hide. Seems like classic writing your emotions down to reduce stress/trauma.

Exactly. And if she wrote other more recognisable innocent statements… it doesn’t change that she wrote this one! It is a teeny tiny release of what she really knows is going to happen and the reason why. IMO.

A previous paper concluded that cases do come in clusters, then you have the report into failings in the unit that stated that warnings about machinery malfunctioning were ignored repeatedly.

I wonder if the defence will raise this point, that it could have been the result of faulty machinery? You'd think the investigation would have found this as the cause though?

I'm curious to know why she believed she didn't do anything wrong if she was guilty. How did she choose her victims?? It's really annoying me now because she clearly had a process as she wasn't going for the most sickly and easily accessible all the time.

They’re rare because day to day nurses are making sure they don’t happen at every procedure. Constant reminder of what it is imo. Level 6 nurse that is responsible for training students and is daily making sure no air enters the bloodstream but cannot accurately describe what it is. Should be an instant answer. And oh she was in police interview as an excuse for tit answers or suspicious answers- well yeah kind of the point unfortunately. It’s not a difficult question. She likes to answer when it’s something that helps her.
On the note again… why would you reside yourself to a life with no family or children (presumably due to being in prison for multiple murders) before you’d even been arrested?! She was so certain in her reply to texts (bar baby A) of what they died of and yet here she is before her first arrest, so under confident in being proven innocent. It’s the kind of thoughts I might have once I realised I would be charged or on trial. I think she already knew the game (and it was a kind of game imo) was up.

I imagine the grievance was raised by LL against her employer...the other way round would just be a disciplinary process.

She should know exactly this in my opinion. Without a doubt. She could have explained the elements she did understand then. It’s an insane answer. What if a student asked her that? Would her response be the same?! Agree to disagree

The report also stated that nothing found by them could be a reason for the higher death rate. And yes, it would be unfortunate bad luck for this to keep happening after intervention from LL.

If she has a god complex or something like that, she possibly won’t feel like she’s done anything wrong. Just speculation!
