There was also that weird one where a load of paedophiles all lived in a village type thing together. They kept getting chucked out for getting drunk and stuff. The guy who ran it had also done some horrible crimes. Very weird setup.
It’s actually pretty common in the US to have these like villages for them 😐

I don't think it's a well liked scheme over there. I remember the local community kept trying to get parks built near it so it was forced to move

What’s the thinking behind putting them all in a village together? Is it to keep them away from the general population hence ensuring they aren’t moving sex offenders into neighbourhoods? Also are they monitored? Sorry I never seen that episode.

I do remember seeing one years ago on Ch4 although I can’t remember if it was Louis. He was interviewing a man who had been released from a stint in prison who had befriended a 13yr old boy. This man had been married with small children and I specifically remember him saying that he would have wanted to have sex with his children when they grew past infancy as a way to express his love for them 🤢🤢🤢🤢

Not seen that one for years but I think it was because it was next to impossible to house them after they came out of prison.

"When Louis Met Anne Widdicombe" is my favourite one.

It's quite wholesome in a way. I liked the bit where she gets Chinese takeaway for dinner and he's impressed with what she's ordered.

I also liked the "Off Broadway", "Porn" and "Infomericals" from his Weird Weekend series.

I also liked "When Louis Met The Hamiltons" for some reason, there's some unintentionally funny moments.

"Louis at the Brothel" was good too, I felt sorry for some of the girls. Some of them were really sweet.

"Under the Knife" also interesting.

Can anyone tell me what the music was over the end credits of the recent Tiger King update? It's driving me mad!

I love Louis I love how he got liposuction in one of his early docs just to fully understand why people do these things. When he was with a nazi and the nazi was like are u Jewish and Louis wouldn't answer I was omg. I love the Hamilton episode Louis just happened to be there when all the weird sex allegations happened to them worked well for the programme as they didn't have much else going on. Ann witcombe is a strange lady remember her on cbb and thinking what are u doing on this show. I find Louis so interesting his book on weird weekends and his autobiography are very interesting.

The Nazi one was quite tense when they were asking if he was Jewish. I think he thought he'd test the waters to see what happened. He said he's often mistaken for being Jewish.

Very very tense, if the camera's weren't there I don't know what would have happened.

I think the guy said he'd have badly beaten him up and chucked him off the property. It's good those twins are no longer racist at least.

The place for paedophiles one I’ve watched a few times. It’s a bizarre concept and not something I’d want near my house but I can see why it is supported.

I love Louis’ technique of interviewing people, he seems to not need to say much to get people to open up to him. He also has a knack of asking the right questions in the right way - very balanced and not accusing, but always ends with people showing their true colours. Love his docs!

I can't help but compare him to Stacey Dooley sometimes and the fact that he asks the right questions and doesn't really state his opinion makes his documentaries so much more interesting and engaging imo

The one about alcoholism was a tough watch too.
That’s the one that sticks in my mind. The guy they featured did get sober for a while but I think it was reported he’d relapsed.

The autism one is close to home and a tough watch too and the assisted suicide one sticks in my mind too. Oh and the prison/community for sex offenders too. I like Louis, I think he’s got a great nature and the subjects trust him.

I love Louis but I do think that the high point of his career was the weird weekends/ brothel/ porn era of documentaries. With Joe Exotic he entirely missed the true story there and got surpassed x100 by Tiger King. Similarly, his Scientology film was mediocre and Going Clear was brilliant.

Unfortunately, he comes across as self absorbed and narcissistic in his Gotta Get Theroux this book. He also made sure he tried to absolve himself over Saville by making the follow-up documentary.

still, he does make decent documentaries from time to time. The drinking one was really good (I really felt for them all) and so was the one about rape on college campuses.

He missed out on Michael Jackson too. He basically got dicked around the whole documentary by various shady characters. Then Joe Jackson just trolled him at the end.
