How do you know they didn't? We are not, thank heavens, a country where the police fire first and ask questions later (anymore). If we were, the people in the car who made a mistake (Iike,I imagine, the driver of this car) would be dead.

So he was behind two cars behind an ambulance but there was a van in front of the ambulance? But that was on Dale St which was open. It’s Water St that was closed.
Dale street goes in water street. Castle street is off to the left in front of the town hall but I think it's no entry that way. I can't see on the footage how far down Dale street the car was.
Castle street is pedestrianised in the day but could it have been open for a diversion because of the parade, otherwise I fail to see where all those cars were going and where they went when they’d got to the end of Dale Street.

Of course, I'm not saying it's right, but people don't trust the police or the authorities to tell them the truth.
People are paranoid, they demand instant answers, and then they're still suspicious - if you consider previous huge public interest crimes eg, off the top of my head Soham murders, James Bulger killers, Harold Shipman murders Southport murders, Jean Paul Menezes - people were misled, it's not surprising they don't believe the authorities.

It makes me anxious just watching it, no way would I drive through a crowd of people like that, absolute madness. If the cars (all of the drivers not just the main man) tailgated their way into Dale St/Water St or got in there by accident they should have just pulled over, crazy that they drove on.
Taking the piss them, I can panic whilst driving, never in my life have I drove under the influence of drugs or decided to mow a load of bleeping people down!
