I'm in the US so I got it done at a very reputable plastic surgeon's office near me in Los Angeles. I think I paid about $5000 in 2021 so what £3500??? Worth it though - I had a lot of excess skin genetically, and it really was terrible. I have wrinkles, though, from all the natural folding the skin had been doing all my life. I don't know how much it would be in the UK but I did shop around to find someone who does these a lot. He also removed a very huge, unsightly scar; this guy and his brother were both surgeons who did a lot of repair-type surgeries for people who got botched or had mastectomies, cancer surgeries, et al and were very precise.
