Looool. The 1D fans are completely deluded if they think these guys were mates. They clearly despised each other by the end. Harry & Niall seemed kinda OK maybe but the fact they never been seen together since speaks volumes 😂

I was a big 1D fan back in the day but I was never daft enough to think they were best mates. And do not get me started on Louis & Harry 😩😩😩

I was a fan but not a big fan (only listened to their music) when watching them interact they never really did or seem that close compared to other bands and their members as you said you don’t see them out and about with each other only time you did was during the xfactor days which obviously was PR stuff.

What I'm finding funny about the backlash from the podcast is how many 1D fans (some still teenagers themselves) are continuing to infantilise them all, despite them being men in their late 20's to early 30's.
Saying how distressed and disappointed they are that Liam would "speak about his brothers like that" or they can't believe the level of disrespect he has shown his "best friends".

Like come on, if you actually still believe they're "like brothers" after all these years there's something wrong with you. Those guys have not been seen in the same public space together in years, let alone actually keeping in contact behind the scenes :ROFLMAO:

These fanatical fans are generally suffering from some kind of mental disorder surely? To be that obsessed with someone you don't know is unnatural in my view. Or maybe it's just classed as bizarre behaviour? It's expected of young kids and teenagers but for most people it's a phase you move on past. From my perspective and this is as far as it goes. Zayn Malik hot. Liam Payne not.

I watched the Logan podcast. I know Logan is really disliked but his podcasts can be pretty good . And I really don’t get what the fuss is about. Liams a but if a gob always has been but it’s not like he said anything really bad.

From what I gather from Twitter it’s the in thing to hate Liam (I don’t get why), he said he’s the one out the band that’s been most successful but what I got from his comment he meant strip that down was the most successful single, from what I got and seen it was kind the most successful debut so single out of all of them, he said they all hated each other obviously die hard fans hated it and he brought up zayns up brining too about his behaviour (which I don’t see as too bad but I would think it’s not his place to mention it if zayns never said anything about it) then he brought up someone threw him against the wall but didn’t name drop. People suggesting it’s Louis or zayn but others reckon it’s harry because apparently he throws things when he’s angry etc. to be fair Liam could just sit there doing nothing and people would make a big fuss about it and say he’s in the wrong so I don’t know how to take this

Strip that down wasn’t the most successful single though, If you look at the streams (which is what he mentioned) both Zayn and Harry’s debuts have way more streams.
He said 1D’s sole purpose was to catapult him into stardom and build a base for his solo career as per Simon Cowell, which is ridiculous considering 1D was created because the judges felt they weren’t strong enough to go solo (at that time)
I’m far from a one direction fan and I think for the most part they can be quite insane but Liam should never have spoken about other people the way he did, he was trying to portray himself as something he is not theoi

Out of all the debut singles, at the time it came out, it had the most streams and sales of them all.
Obviously over time Harry's and Zayn's singles continued to be streamed and have astronomically surpassed Strip That Down, but it's not exactly fair to compare the stats of today, when at the time it was the truth (I remember seeing the stat at the time and being shocked because I thought Strip That Down was so sub-par compared to the other singles).
Liam never said it's the most sucessful out of all of them to this date, he just meant when it first came out.

This is how I took it, even at the time I heard Liams song be played more on the radio over Harry’s. Yes Harry is doing great (too this day I think it’s more to his fans than actual talent) but at the time liams songs sounded more mainstream and the type the radio would play and catchy it wasn’t the best song there is but can’t deny strip that down did do really well at the time

Liam is giving steve brookstein vibes in the logan podcast. Have to say I have always hated Zayne and I don't give a fck about harry or his music... Liam is a total gob but I'm finding him so funny tbh

just gonna say again that i hate zayne and only because he dated gigi is he some sort of mega star. I always assumed he was a smackhead from blind items over the years
