I'm in my 30s and I obviously had friends when I was late teens, early 20s who I was immensely close with, did everything together and have so many memories with. Some of them, I haven't really spoken to in years. The odd message here, facebook comment there. God forbid if anything happened to them, I'd be devastated, and sad for their children and families, but would my day-to-day life be impacted by the loss? Probably not. I feel like that's how it is for the 1D boys. Niall and Harry's posts talking about his energy and passion, the time spent together in the band, public condolences to his family... It's indicative of "we made some great memories in the past but we were no longer close" which is completely understandable. In my eyes, they had no choice but to say something and they have. Zayn and Louis' are far more raw and personal.

I would wonder whether they have all actually been in contact with eachother. I would like to think so but the 1D post could have easily been put together for them and they've each okayed it separately.

Louis had a uk no1 with his last Album so did. Niall they’re all doing well apart from Liam, Harry is only successful because of partly his talent and a huge part is his management team..

I really do think he was just absolutely out of it, potentially blacked out and went over, either that or perhaps trying to climb onto whatever was beside his balcony, knowing they didn't want him to leave his room. The boy was absolutely out of it, going by the pictures of the room. But I wasn't there, and that is only my opinion.

Honestly, the amount of people who think they are invincible on drink or drugs is mental, one season alone in Magaluf I think about 6 people had fallen to their deaths although not all solely down to drink/drugs - one girl had got locked out and was trying to get onto the next balcony to get into her friends apartment

I don't think we will ever find out the truth sadly, we can all only speculate. Either way, its a sad end to a young life.

They’ll probably record an open verdict unless his phone throws up something or CCTV becomes available, he seemed to be on a downward spiral around the time he was dropped by his record label.

I don’t know why everyone is so convinced he fell. He could easily have had enough, particularly with what his ex was doing and decided to end it. Yes he may not have been in a very good state of mind given all the drugs he’d taken but he seemed in a bad way. The recent videos of him he looked off his head and very sad too.
