She's never claimed she was her best mate.
So why the big fanfare about the paps simply taking a picture of the new love island host arriving in South Africa then? Twisting it to being about Caroline when she could have easily arrived into the country and got her bloke to meet her in a car outside. Instead he had to wait In arrivals, they both had to have a public reunion so she could passively aggressively tweet about the press.

She was fine taking press pictures a couple of days after the death at some showbiz awards though.

If you want to be in the press be in it, unfortunately you can’t be in it as and when it suits you only.

Laura whitmore has done nothing but raise her own profile on the back of Caroline’s name. That’s my opinion.

Because she was good at tricking people into believing she was okay. Her friends can’t mind her 247 they have jobs and families. She should have stayed with her mum at Christmas when she tried to get her to but at the end of the day she’s an adult you can’t force her to do anything
I understand they have lives to live and can’t be with her 24/7 but in that event they should have rang someone to stay with her. You don’t leave someone who tried to kill themselves only the night before, alone for hours on end

I don’t understand why she was left alone on the day she killed herself. I understand she threw her friends out but I would have welded myself to the floor before I’d leave a suicidal person alone. She already tried to kill herself the night before. Why couldn’t they have rang someone to stay with her? I’m not blaming them for her doing it because realistically, she would have found a way eventually but I just can’t get past that those friends who were entrusted to care for her in her lowest and darkest ebb, left her alone for hours on the morning of her suicide. Nobody was there for her when she needed it.
I have to agree. I’d never have left her alone after what happened the night before even if she lied that she was fine, she clearly wouldn’t have been.

I’ll never understand it. Am I right in saying those who left her that morning weren’t invited to the funeral and didn’t partake in the interview? Would there be bad feelings there on behalf of the family? Understandable if so. Even if she threw them out it doesn’t make sense why they didn’t ring her mother or sister, and say she’s thrown us out but she can’t be alone, we need someone to go over there. I’m sure she was extremely difficult to be around in those final days and wouldn’t listen to anyone and I sympathise with that, but to me it sounds like they just got tired of her.

Yes, Mollie and Lou apparently weren’t at her funeral, they had a separate gathering with Lewis.

I would never have left, even if she’s an adult and I had my own family to go to. I’d have made sure I rang her family or another friend to be with her. I really can’t understand, she should not have been left. All this crap saying she was an adult, yes but she wasn’t stable and when you love and care for someone you don’t leave them, I didn’t know her but no way would I have left her if I’d had the chance to be sat with her. I’ve been there with a suicidal family member, you don’t leave them after an attempt.

She needed help and I just wish she had got it, I wish she had been brave enough to face she needed a diagnosis and intense therapy.

God that documentary is so sad. Her mum & sister were so composed. I thought they were very dignified, not blaming it on anyone/thing else.

It seems to me like she had something more than depression going on-a personality order perhaps? Her emotional struggles started very young, before trauma had accumulated. And that makes me sad because while it’s not easy she could have been treated. She could have felt better. But it seems like she felt too ashamed to get help.

Christ Lewis is a piece of tit. Felt sorry for him when she died but not now. Sadly though, even if she did ‘just’ throw her phone & it hit him she would’ve been guilty of common assault. There was no way out of the criminal case. And the judiciary do love to make an example of celebs.

LIke previous poster ( @ShakiraShakira ?) I relate to the always feeling childlike, wanting everyone to lie me, very sensitive & emotional like CF. Heartbreak has sent me under at times. I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD, which goes some way to explaining it. But it’s hard when these issues persevere into adult/parenthood.

Also, I understand some people feel Lou shouldn’t have left CF & she shouldn’t have made a move on Lewis I don’t understand the hate. Am I missing something more?

My understanding was that Jody had arranged to see Caroline on the day she died. The inquest said it was Jody who turned up at the flat and she couldn't get in so raised the alarm, so perhaps the friends who left thought she would be okay as Jody would be around soon after

Either way I would have made sure I or someone else stayed with her until Jody turned up

I’m sorry you’ve also had difficulties. I was diagnosed with depression 3 years ago and became suicidal at one point. My Mum didn’t support me or care at all. Thank goodness I had my husband to lean on. I grew up with her ignoring my siblings troubles and their self harm, it caused me a childhood of trauma. My sibling never got help because my parents hid it out of shame which meant in my siblings adulthood they behaved very much like Caroline and they were diagnosed with BPD and Bi Polar. . It led to me suffering trauma and depression.

I’m so glad Caroline had family that cared and wanted to help her, despite how it ended she knew she was loved.

That sounds so difficult. Sorry I went through it & glad you’re ok.

Yea it seems like her mum & sister dealt with her in a really understanding way.

With all due respect if someone wants to commit suicide they will most likely find a way. Caroline had apparently researched hanging, she had also attempted suicide multiple times in the past and self harmed. She could have said she was going for a shower and done it in there. Unless she was in inpatient treatment or being watched 24/7 it would be hard for her loved ones to prevent this. Sadly from the job i do i know people can be very creative in ways when they want to harm themselves and other methods are removed or they are being watched. Her friends/family had also had an ambulance come out the day before her death i believe however Caroline claimed she could keep herself safe/didnt have intent and was deemed to have capacity, if she had admitted how suicidal she was / she had intent to go through with it or a doctor had done a MHA assessment things might have been different. Its hard to say without knowing more detail/ her Psychiatrist's full diagnosis but it sounds very much like Caroline had EUPD from her behaviours and the way her family described her. She didnt want people to know and switched doctors a lot (her mum said), she had in the past also admitted not liking medication because she said it makes you flat (some meds can make you feel like this)
Its an extremely sad case, it does seem like Lewis exploited her, the selling the blood photo or sharing it or whatever he did was disgusting, sharing a photo of your girlfriend's blood as a result of a mental health crisis?! Having said that suicide is complex and she had a history of self harm after break ups/ fall outs so without extensive therapy, and/ or the right balanced lifestyle /meds etc its likely she would have done this even had she had a different boyfriend.
Its all very sad and somewhat avoidable as she had the means of paying for private treatment which a lot of people dont have (years long waiting lists/postcode lottery for some types or therapy) but I do understand why she felt uncomfortable accessing help and telling people especially with the press baying for information and photos. Feel for her family so much, rip Caroline.

With all due respect, I’ve said as much myself. I’ve repeatedly said I feel she would have found a way eventually because she seemed to be committed to the fact that her life was over and this had ended her. I’m not stating that if they had stayed she would be alive today because I don’t think that’s true. What I’m starting, and probably what isn’t coming across well, is how strange I find it that they left her in the first place. Why do that to someone who you have been trusted to look after, who you know is extremely suicidal, irrational, hysterical and being manipulative. I’m asking those questions not because I believe Caroline wouldn’t have found a way, but because I think it gives insight into the type of people they were and the dynamic that was at play when Caroline was at her lowest. I think they found her a burden at the end and those are my feelings on it. It’s a shame she didn’t have proper people around her who would have rang for someone when they needed to pop out and leave her alone for hours. I don’t think she had good people around her. She was good enough for them when times were good but when times were bad, she may as well have had no one. I could be wrong but that’s just what I’m gathering from all of the info out there and the fact they weren’t invited to the funeral or to partake in the interview. Ultimately I just find it so sad that she felt this guy was worth ending her life over. This bleeping guy.

Fair points. It is very telling that certain friends werent on the docu and her mum has insinuated certain things. I also find it strange Lou is supportive of Lewis and Lottie? If my friend committed suicide under those circumstances then I certainly wouldnt be encouraging my friend's ex getting with another friend/ person i work with who i'd seen grow from being a teenager (she worked with 1d back in the day im assuming that's where the friendship comes from) who has money and is herself possibly vulnerable not long after!
I was sure Caroline thanked Lou and Mollie was it and actually named them specifically after her death? i could be wrong but I read Lou was with her and left to go to the shops, couldnt get in after as Caroline locked her out so she rang Caroline's dad who found her then Jodi identified her. I think you're right and that a lot of people used Caroline, as they were saying they had families / children etc and Caroline felt left behind and was getting in the wrong relationships. Its easy to be close with someone when they're happy and easygoing but its a real friend who's there in the lows.

It’s the strangest thing in the world. However let’s remember Lou made a move on him herself after.
She did initially fall out with them over it but now they are all friends again.
They are a toxic group. Even now they cover for each other and don’t tell the truth. Like removing things from the house of a dead person!
Caroline’s Mum did thank Mollie and Lou until after she found out what they were about.

Not disputing people’s opinions of Lou & Mollie but what did strike me was that the people in the doc last night didn’t seem to have been in contact with her right before she died. So, even though people may have criticisms of them Lou, Mollie, Sam T were the people Caroline chose to turn to when at her lowest?

I thought it was quite sad. I recently visited the cemetery her bench is in and saw her mum there. Turns out I’d gone on the anniversary and hadn’t realised. I’ve seen the bench but her ashes are in a different area.
