So you don’t actually know anything as fact and didn’t see anything with your own eyes. The fact that he might have been with someone new 8 weeks later has no baring on the facts of the assault. In fact, if it was the other way around people would be saying she deserves happiness after all she has been though, good for her moving on after being attacked, etc..
it’s understandable that you want to defend your friend’s memory but it shouldn’t come at the expense of what happened and it shouldn’t include the slandering of others. I’m not even a fan of Lewis or Andrew in fact they both make my skin crawl, but this dismissing of the attack and low key blaming others for her own actions has to stop. What she did was wrong, she deserved to be prosecuted for it but didn’t deserve to feel such distress that she took her own life, and it’s sad that that happened. That’s my take on it and no amount of gossip, rumours of sending lamps and letters or moving on 8 weeks later will change that.
