i remember in my first pregnancy buying some special pregnancy safe skincare due to my horrendous acne, thankfully in subsequent pregnancies I have seen the light and don’t buy anything different and even use retinol (non prescription), makes me feel annoyed to think of falling for that stupid skincare before (that didn’t even really do anything) and now I see they are just preying on naive newbies like i once was.

I'm assuming Tigga funded and Leigh is using her "expertise". Wonder if this will breakup this weird friendship?!?

Yes exactly. It’s quite a vulnerable target market, since women are anxious about doing what’s best for baby. You Beauty has been doing a lot of pregnancy content since Kelly McKaren was pregnant. The bottom line was always that you don’t need pregnancy products and there’s way too much scaremongering. Kelly gets quite heated about it (Leigh too from memory). If you want some special and different, go for it. But it is absolutely not necessary. I avoid strong fragrances for the first few months breastfeeding, but I love something fancy and luxe to feel alive while pregnant and usually that means strong fragrances.

Time will tell with how it’s marketed, I guess.

Make it make sense.. is it skin care, or is it body products, or is it both. I'm confused. I'm mortified. It's weird. Its outdated. Its unnecessary. It's actually LC in a bottle.

So it’s for expectant mothers but anyone can use it?? Can someone give these idiots a lesson on marketing! They aren’t even clear on who they are targeting. It’s like they want it to be a brand for expectant mums but they want anyone and every one to use it so they can make max $$ as they know pregnant woman is a small market. This will end up on the shelf at the bump day spa as an in-house brand.

And what about the quoting of percentages 😂 so they appear well researched.

The name, the packaging…🤦🏼‍♀️

They have 4000 idiot followers already though

I have to say I actually really like the colours I think they look very aesthetic or whatever it is the young people are into. Not even kidding I love them!
Really? I think they needed to pick 1-2 colours
Or all pastels (for example). Colours don’t go together or have any cohesiveness! Just random.

I don’t think they were even such good friends before this…I find it weird LC is permanently over at Tegan’s now. I feel this friendship will not end well!

What a shame Tegan’s connected to LC now, and doing more sponsored posts etc. I used to see her with her kids at the local playground earlier in the year and she came across as very fun, nice and normal and the kids were well behaved.

I seriously do. And it pains me to admit it. I love the juxtaposition of the navy against the pastels for example. I think the colour combo is fresh and luxe and kind of retro.

Leigh has banged on since day 1 about: natural not always being better; everything we eat and drink is a chemical; normal skin and make up products are fine for pregnancy, except for Vit A; fear mongering around pregnancy marketing is wrong; she's also said to avoid fragrances while they are newborns so they can smell you, but these products seem fragranced. Her copy for the products (because it is unmistakeabley Leigh's tone and grammar) states that they are for breastfeeding and beyond. Wtf? How is it for breastfeeding? Unless it's a nipple cream, it's not for breastfeeding. It's soooo poorly marketed and unclear. This will sell to the wealth eastern suburbs set for a while then die a slow death and just be sold in Tegan's salon in gift packs. Leigh will of course never admit to it though. I can literally see how the next year will play out. I guarantee there will be an AMA in a few months, and "someone" will ask how Brillo is going and she will of course say how well it's doing.

There is nothing in the name or on the front of the packaging to say that it is for pregnancy etc. You wouldn’t know unless you looked at the socials.

If I was going to gift body care to a pregnant girlfriend, I would want it to be pretty obvious that it was for pregnancy and not just something generic.

The products are unscented, which is why they’re marketing them for breastfeeding, plus maybe a cream that can be used for nipples? But there’s loads of unscented products on the market. Stacks of people don’t like fragrance.
