I have a question about this - if she’s doing ads while she’s there (Brillo, for the resort etc) can she then claim the costs of the trip as a taxable expense (the non semi-gifted portion of course
)? I wondered this when she went on a girls weekend with AG and they all filmed a load of content there - is that just so they can claim all the costs back on their tax returns? AG did the same when she went away for her hubbys birthday recently, filmed some ads in their holiday accommodation.

. The half stay, I’m not sure. It sort of cancels out because actually she should be claiming the gifted portion on tax. But actually I guess it’s not income earned in Australia? There is of course, what they should claim and what they will claim. It’s very messy.

I'm fairly sure it's the same hotel chain, that Eleanor Pendleton recently experienced with her family. Whilst there were many posts about "so blessed", "so fortunate", "so emotional", she did an amazing job of selling Soneva to us mere mortals, and really went into detail about the resorts sustainability and environmental decisions. Her stories and pics were, slightly too "perfectly" curated, but wow what a vast difference between the #semigifted stay we are currently being shown.
Just went to have a look at EP’s story highlights, how can the same place look so different?
Also EP was smart and booked a room on the island so there was no risk of their toddler falling into the water when you’re not watching
This is the bit I particularly don’t get. I’m have a four year old and a nine year old and I’d be nervous staying in one of those. Would need a few years before I feel like that sort of accommodation is an option.
But of course you don’t get the same for gorgeous pics for the gram on dry land!

Right?! I know she said they have life jackets, but does he honestly wear it all the time? Sleep in it? Maybe I’m paranoid but I wouldn’t be able to relax. It’s not a lot of space for a kid to run around and really at three most kids don’t show moving. So even if you’re dropping him at Kid’s Club all day

I don’t think she could claim the Maldives trip as a business expense unless it was necessary for her to be there to perform her job, for example if she was attending the Crap Body Butter Convention that was being held in the Maldives.
