Thank you and good luck to you! Will this be your first theory test?
Yep, I’ve only just started driving lessons again after giving up during Covid. My confidence is slowly coming back and my instructor told me to get my theory done and out the way 🤞

Great advice! So I wish I had done this because waiting four months for a test date feels forever!
My advice is once you’ve read the Highway Code, do loads of mock tests. I found the questions on the test today were not dissimilar 🙌🏽

Thanks 😊 I did a mock test today and failed 😂 my job goes very quiet during the summer though so I have loads of time to revise 😊

There’s lots of apps for mock tests. I used to practice on my commute to work. Anywhere I could squeeze in a few mins. Good luck all!

Did anyone see the article about the learner driver sent to prison? Crashed his new car speeding and killed all his friends who were passengers.
Will never understand how people can be so reckless like that

Terrible lesson today, steering was rubbish, hitting the accelerator instead of the break 🙈 managed not to hit anyone or break the car so still taking it as a win 🙌😂

How you doing Pinkfoxxie?

It's nearly a year since I passed and each trip out still has it's nuances. Still nervous over parking and so forth but getting there

Not too bad, failed my theory once 🙈 by one mark 🙄 Taking it again Saturday, getting more confident though 😊 thank you for asking 🥰

An update from me - I had my driving test this morning, I passed with two faults! So so so happy and proud of myself.
I was so scared and nervous when I started learning the end of last year so to pass first time feels amazing!
Good luck everyone… you got this!!

Thanks all! Can’t wait to start car shopping tonight… brum brum 🚗
Failed again 😔 although I was really unwell and probably should have cancelled, I could hardly see the screen my eyes were running so much 😂 I’ve decided to wait till the new year to even book another one! Thanks for asking 😘
So sorry to hear this! It’s a tense environment nevermind being ill as well. I’ve got my fingers and toes crossed for you in 2025 🤞🏽❤

Hi all, I have a slight dilemma regarding my current driving situation. I failed my second test in July and basically haven’t driven since then. In the lead up to that test I was only able to get a few lessons in, which didn’t help and then afterwards I went on holiday and spent the summer preparing for my first teaching job so out driving on the back burner. Autumn term was chaos and despite my parents nagging and a few tears being shed if buses not turning up for hours on some of the coldest days, I just couldn’t bring myself to do any more lessons.

I do have a test booked for February which I know is fast approaching now and have told my instructor but he’s not replied yet (understandable as it’s a holiday). However I have a feeling he’ll be off until schools go back which will also be when I’m back to work and swamped. Obviously I have weekends and could even fit in some evenings but am worried that won’t be enough as I’m sure he’s probably got other lessons already booked in for the following few weeks.

I have just been looking into some intensive courses where they have tests already booked so I might be able to change my day if I’m not ready and can get in lessons that will hopefully fit my schedule a bit better. It’s quite pricey but so are individual lessons so it’s not too bad but I’m just worried that I’ll fail again as both times it’s been over small things I now how to do but stressed out over on the day. Part of me just wants to give up on the idea all together but I know once term starts again and I’m waiting for buses that don’t show up I’ll regret it, especially as my theory runs out in May so if I don’t pass soon I’ll have to wait to redo that again.

Do you have anyone who can help with practice? Family or friend? A colleague who’ll let you drive to/from work? Most insurers do not charge for drivers on a provisional (as they can’t drive unattended) but if you were to offer any additional costs? Petrol etc. The only tip I can give is practice as much as you can.

I'm not sure where your based but some hire companies like Arnold Clark have dual control vehicles to hire , I have hired one of these before for extra practice x
