Is calling the thing between them a "relationship" fair, though? Flirtation, mutual interest, even dating? Sure, those are reasonable. But it's not "cheating" if you're not in an exclusive relationship.If I was cheated on, I’d be a lot less restrained in letting people, including strangers, know what happened.
Hell, this is an anonymous forum, so I'll be forthright about this: My marriage is open, and I have additional partners beyond my husband. We are by definition not exclusive, but even with that, and with clear communication, sometimes feelings get hurt. I'm not saying that's right, nor am I saying the hurt feelings are invalid, but I am saying that you cannot cheat on someone who is not your exclusive romantic partner.
We will never know what went down between them, but given his "just friends" label on YouTube, I'm not going to declare Mel's perceptions completely accurate. It doesn't negate or invalidate her feelings, but it is a different context.
