Krocks In The Kitchen

Yes it will be their justification for some nervous eating to come … a few more pounds to pack onto their already unhealthy overweight bodies in the name of grief and mourning for the demised embryo.
When Jess says there could be a miracle, she’s obviously not getting that the miracle has occurred! Sometimes looking laterally is what smart people do!
Smell the roses and stop looking like proper idiots!

Move on Krocks and get a life … a healthy one and give the child you already have a chance!

You make a really good point - they've had 3 miracles, not just one. 2 cancer remissions and 1 healthy child.

Yesterday this duo put up an IG story (gone now) showing unpacking a mattress (probably free due to promo) for their guest room and zero mention of the embryo drama. I think that it is clear that chapter is finished.

Actually that chapter is not finished. They announced their bad news today but have spoken to the fertility doctor about another possible option. They're taking a break for a few months now to grieve and think about that long-shot option before they share it.

I assume Tess would want to take their child if something happened, especially since she's so extremely invested. If so, I guess that would take a lot of the pressure off.
I could be mistaken but it is my understanding that Tess has stated that she would not be willing to do that. It was a short time ago that she said something like once her kids are grown that she is done with raising kids. Correct me if I'm wrong folks.

So, the obvious question is, what is this "other option?" Does anyone have a clue what they're talking about? I think it's weird that they brought it up more than once but wouldn't say what it was, even though I would assume most listeners would be quite curious. Why not keep it to yourself until you've thought it through?

Maybe embryo donation? Would Tess volunteer again? Why isn't one child enough for those two?

That’s exactly what I’m thinking … Tess provides the egg and big boy provides the swimmer! Effectively Jess would be raising her second cousin … and their kids would be second cousins not blood siblings. That would be downright messy but that’s how this lot work and think ~ messy!
One would think they would be happy to call themselves ultra lucky and blessed to have the child they have. They are not out of the woods yet for their individual cancer diagnoses and they are both grossly overweight and unhealthy ~ yet their selfish and egotistical selves still continue to play the ‘it’s all about me’ game. Obviously their mirror isn’t wide enough and their combined IQ not high enough to apply common sense and logic to the double edged sword on which they are perched.
Sad for Elsie to obviously not be the centre of their universe. More more more and me me me appears to be the foundation from which these two operate. They are certainly a mixed up couple.

Who are Elsie's biological parents? I haven't paid close attention and thought it was Brian and Jessica.

Yes that’s correct … Jess and Brian are!
But obviously this would not be the case if they went on to use a donor egg and Brian’s sperm … especially if the donor was Tess given she is a relative of Jess.

This could just get stranger and stranger with this relationship between these 4. I think they are obsessed with having another child and will do anything. They sort of see themselves all as one big family. So many of their ignorant commenters are suggesting adoption. If they listened the Krocks mentioned early on that they cannot be considered for adoption due to their health histories. If one potential parent has had cancer is it tough but two? Not going to happen. I also even without the cancer situation don't think they could pass the physical required. In addition I wonder about their decision making ability as parents. They had posted a photo of Elise, Jessica and her mom at an Abba concert. The baby was sitting their with big earphones on. Is that cute? Not to me or probably most parents.

I think it was Jessica who mentioned that they have been able to "scrape together the funds" so far for this process. That implies that to keep moving on with more plans will be financially challenging. Again we have a couple with one working parent...I don't know how they are doing this.

could be the rest of the money they’ve got from their gfm (for Jessica’s medical bills, if I’m not mistake). If it’s the case, I thought she said she will spend the remaining money on something related to cancer, good cause, charity or research.

in any case, the thought of Brian‘s spermatozoa swimming inside someone’s body who’s not Jessica, grosses me out so so so much.

This seemed like the obvious option, but she said this option is "really a long shot." You know that Tess would be dying to give up her eggs to give Jessica another kid and it seems like you could harvest eggs in a much more relaxed manner without the chemo deadline that Jessica had, so you could make a lot of embryos. It doesn't seem like a long shot option. IDK though.

Another option is to obtain an embryo (or two) have been "discarded" and offered up for "donation" to someone else. Some entities call it "embryo adoption". The Krocks would still need to hire a surrogate if Tess is done with this. Again ... who is paying for any future pregnancies?

Yes that’s probably what the suggestion to them was. Such desperados!

Seems to be they are the perfect "victims" willing to buy into any possible way to have another child. A real money maker for the fertility clinic that is advising them. This has evolved into a story about a really desperate couple.
