How old is Jessica? If the age I am thinking and seem to remember is correct, she looks much much older. Both of them look old fashioned.

One thing I found interesting in the "Live" is the absence of "super chats" where you can ask a question and make a donation. I have watched their lives before and they took in significant donations...some of which YT takes but a nice profitable hour. I saw the "super chat" was enabled but don't recall any coming in. I think the motivation for a "live" is getting those chats rolling in. Maybe I am all off on that but what comes to my mind when I see a creator doing lives.

Agree 100%. As some of those viewers were talking about "on line" shower I thought to my self how many family and friends showers I have gone to and I certainly would have to pass on one for a stranger online!!!!
So strange that people would want to see that. How is a baby shower worth watching? And yes, especially a stranger's baby shower.

I am getting more and more sick of all of this!
I see a big change in people regarding youtubers. Cancer youtubers are now viewed with a lot of suspicion and scepticism. It wasn't like this before.

I see what you mean. There is an "old" quality about them. Like they would fit better in a different century. I think they would fit "old-fashioned" clothes and activities. They give me amish vibes.

I think it is the hair style (not much choice) as you look at her "before" photos with the longer hair that is smooth and I think she looks about her age. I always think most of us can benefit from a bit of makeup and of course her choice but she seems makeup free. With that "permed" look of hair she does look like a grandma rather than young woman but that will pass. Not sure on Brian's age but about the same I think and indeed he looks far beyond his 30's.

Agree, I think it's just her hairstyle really. I personally don't think she looks older than her age.

I think she looks older before the short hair too. I actually admire her natural look. Not everyone on youtube has to look like "instagram girls".

It's weird, because they do come off as older in some ways, but in other ways they come across as kids. Like Jessica with her toys and Brian with his video games. Moving in with Brian's parents because they didn't want to pay rent for an apartment anymore. I'm pretty sure Brian is in his early 40s. Yet for some reason, they do still give off an "old couple" vibe.

I like the Krocks. I took them as private people and am very surprised they are so open about discussing their baby and undoubtedly will have her on the channel. Also, surprised they did not seem to have any of the new parent natural worries. I am very happy for them, but surprised.

I was surprised that they are already planning to "use" the two remaining Krocksicles. (I honestly love that name for the embryos.) I mean really ... that's pretty optimistic. I wonder if Brian's religion considers destruction of the embryos to be murder.

I'm happy for the Krocks, hoping all goes well for them when baby makes three.

He makes up vegan recipes for the channel. I haven't tried any of them because most look pretty unappetizing to me.
I really enjoy their recipes as a pescaterian not vegan l love me a good plant based meal.

This may sound like a dumb question but from an insurance point of view..is any of this covered by the surrogate's insurance or by the Krocks' insurance? And now 2 months in an air bnb in Columbus? I thought they might discuss the GoFundMe excess last night but I assume it is being used for the baby now. I must say Jessie has put an extraordinary amount of additional stress on herself for the scans in two weeks. You could see her voice change when talking about this reality. There was a comment about Brian's reply to Jessica's mother when she said that her grandbaby will not be brought up as a barbarian or some such nonsense that Brian was talking about. I think he might be a MIL's challenge. He mentioned something about the child being ready to fight people etc. It was odd. I vote Brian's behavior more concerning than Kyle or Matt. He responded to the comment with something about this baby being a Krock and the tone I too thought was rude as did the poster. I am also left wondering about their longterm ability to hawk vegan plant based lifestyle considering being overweight (Brian) and Jessica's cancer. It does not make me want to look at their choices for myself. I don't like posting negative thoughts on them but I realized last night they sort of invite this with the things they do and say on social media. Love it when Brian said going to be the best traveled baby ever...and they plan to do lots of travel...and the money keeps rolling in?
---
And now YTubers want to have an online shower for them and also gifts for Tess the surrogate. They are now figuring out how front and center this baby will be in their YT videos after birth.
And this is when l check out, when food content channel becomes child exploitation!! Family vloggers suck.
---
One more thing that bothers me as I realize the timeline here...implantation took place back in Feb. about 1.5 months post surgery when Jessica was is very bad shape physically and mentally...first scans not until I think May which are always an important process to evaluate things. It is clear and was repeated yesterday that this baby is for Brian to have someone in the event Jessica's cancer returns . Some might find that a great motivation...I don't. October is not that far off !!!
Implantation took place 1st February 2023 two weeks and two days post surgery.

I'm pretty much a life long vegetarian but his stuff often just has too many ingredients and looks gloppy to me.

Yes suited to a different century. You see what I see :) nothing to do with hair styles or www ‘looks’. Both are naturally old fashioned and would pass for much older in my opinion. It’s not an insult.

I'm surprised people are still trying to get famous on social media with family channels that involve small children. I feel like there's been a lot more discourse over the past two or three years about how unethical it is. Not only because the kids might look back on the videos when they're older and wish they had never been shared publicly, but also because it has to mess with a kid's psyche to constantly have their everyday activities filmed. They'll probably grow up constantly feeling like they have to perform or like they're constantly being watched.

And some parents really have no chill at all. Sharing really private moments, like when their daughters get their first periods.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised though, because some of these channels have millions of followers and make tons of money. I know some people argue that the parents should at least create bank accounts or college funds for their kids with the money they earn from the channel, because the kids are technically "working" if the content they're in makes money.

Wow did not realize it was that fast....I can't imagine thinking about doing that so soon in recovery.

Here's a short but interesting video discussing exactly this.

Looks like we're not very interested in Jessica and Brian. I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing?
