So happy for them both being NED and their daughter healthy and happy. Appreciate their honesty about how difficult it is to get back to doing something after taking a break.

Same. I really hope they will live full long lives.
That just shows that they are really not addicted to youtube and attention. They are busy with their lives.

About health: Good job they found the pre-cancerous polyps and removed them. Those original stomach issues and colonoscopy may have saved Brian's life. It led to the kidney cancer discovery and then the polyps. They mention some thickening in the colon and mild Crohn's. I guess he will need to stay on top of colonoscopies in the future.

I know many will seriously question Brians decision in declining adjuvant immunotherapy to try prevent a recurrence.
I personally think he's made the right decision based on 2 things.

1, Many patients with existing auto immune conditions end up with terrible side effects from immunotherapy. GI issues seem to be a problem. Researchers know that there is a link between the gut and the immune system and some serious studies are currently looking at the microbiome in cancer patients guts.
If Brian's got mild Crohn's then he is at risk of immunotherapy causing severe side effects (and sadly often deadly).

2, If immunotherapy is going to work it will work on microscopic disease or very large tumours. In his shoes I would save it in the back pocket until its def needed.

Happy to hear him and J are both currently NED and hope things remain that way for them both.

It looks like they've both lost some weight, too. He put on a bit of weight after his initial diagnosis -- and as an emotional eater myself I understand. But it is great to see them both looking so wonderful. Hear is hoping for only good news from them in the future.

They are back today. I listened to the whole video but not sure what the point was since no conclusions.

The point was honesty... Struggles with weight, parenting and not making mistakes for their daughter that caused them problems.... Working through different parenting styles...I thought it was a very honest video.

One thing I found interesting is the mention of another child. It was just in passing. I assume the cousin would not do this again as she almost died. Both videos in the last weeks have been at the cousin's home.

Chef A.J another vlogger with cancer has Jessica and Brian for an interview. Long but interesting. Their story is so bizarre.
Unable to link it here but if you are interested just find the latest from Chef A.J.

Any indication Brian might start taking an obesity medication like Ozempic? He needs to get serious about his weight before he has a stroke or heart attack.

I was annoyed by their last one.

I missed it: why are they in Ohio, and for how long?

Their careless attitude about wondering why cancer didn't change their food and health choices is infuriating. Before deciding to impregnate a surrogate, surely a conversation should have been had regarding how they intended to prioritise their child's needs ahead of their own, and what that might look like in real life?

Surely, with Jessica's (at that point) cancer journey, they had to have had a conversation about how Brian might need to be a single parent, and the responsibilities this would involve for him. Certainly, this would have included him addressing his obesity and taking steps to be in the best health possible? This would have also included Jessica, to ensure she too had the best chance at a long life?

What is with these people who take a planned parenthood decision so lightly that they did not have a discussion or make a commitment to be as healthy as possible?

I understand having cheat days, sometimes strict life changes are hard to adhere to. But, to have such a lackadaisical attitude? Rather than supporting and encouraging one another, it doesn't even sound like an important conversation about responsibilities was had before the surrogacy even took place!

And, what, is Jessica suddenly realising now that children are mimics and learn from what they are exposed to? Come on, lady, what planet are you from and did you not read a single book on parenting while your cousin was percolating your bebe for you??

Well said and written. I totally agree with you.

Jessica and Brian both have issues not resolved. Jessica has some emotional insecurities and some odd childish stuff that shows up with that stuffed toy (Peef) I think she was a binge eater. She reverts to childish behaviour at times when stressed. Brian as well. I hope they are both getting counseling and not from their Church to cope with their health and longterm food issues. I think having a child was shockingly irresponsible given their situation - made even worse by Brian's cancer.

The latest video is Jessica asking Brian why he orders non-plant based or vegan meals when they go out to eat? It's so hard for her when he does that because Elsie might want to try Daddy's food and she wants Elsie to be plant based so Elsie has to sit near her in the restaurant. Brian says he wants to try different foods occasionally. At one point, in a roundabout way, she said they both need to order vegan to solve the problem although she doesn't want to tell him what to eat. And they admitted that overeating, even on a plant based diet, has led to being overweight.....Kyle Appleford???

I'm just having a hard time figuring out what I'm writing! Brian doesn't order plant based or vegan meals. Sorry for the confusion!

I had a vegetarian friend who ate a lot of cheese for protein. You can’t eat healthy with cheese in your lunch or dinner every day for protein.

You can eat incredibly crappy food on any diet including vegan. Brian clearly eats far too much volume whatever he's eating and is maintaining his bulk. He's never really slimmed down. Plant based eating with very small children isn't easy to get right so I don't agree with her either. I doubt they're modelling good eating habits as they are not sticking to healthy eating themselves.
