CAK is a very bizarre account. I stopped following ages ago as there were a lot of sen red flags. A lot of self diagnosis and weird behaviour, same for the sen account cak was tagged in yesterday. There seem to be a lot of mums on Insta desperate for their kids to have diagnosis after diagnosis.

I agree. Those accounts in particular, obviously it’s just a snapshot of their lives (and I don’t follow them, I just browse occasionally) but I look at those kids, with their laundry list of issues and diagnoses and think… your kids don’t seem as profoundly impaired as you describe them. They look like my kids and I wouldn’t describe them in the way you do. My kids are autistic too.

If I started an Insta account documenting their lives - which I never would - would I find myself sucked into that world of crowdfunding for private therapies, and doing deep dives on XYZ traits? Pathologising everything they do? It’s very unhealthy.

I was surprised to see this thread had been updated, as I'd only been looking at it last week as I wondered if anyone had heard anything from/about them. Think of them often, and hope they're both well.

They seemed to have a bunch of friends/accounts they met up with from Insta, but then it all stopped with the business with Alee (Collagen and Kid?) and people like LifewithAlfie/Lesleyplustwo and the lady with a daughter called Darcy(?) stopped mentioning them. Only account I've seen mention them since has been Weeslice...

Just all a bit odd, but I wish them well.

Yep all the above. I know someone (friend of a friend of a friend of a friend etc etc) who owns one of those companies who deck their kids out in clothing like that and it’s never ever sat right with me. Why should it be your child’s problem that you’re embarrassed by them having a meltdown in a public space enough to make them wear a T-shirt that segregates them from others and gives their medical history to passers by? Get over yourself, that is YOUR problem, not theirs. I see the T-shirt’s she sells everywhere and I think it’s so wrong.

she also hinted at ADHD a few weeks back

She’s just called out another person, this time a worthwhile cause. Some weirdo who gets off on incontinence pads following a load of sen parents. My main problem with her calling people out was that is was never for anything that terrible and I always felt like there were more pressing matters to attend to, this being one of them. There was an attitude with the post but if she wants to call people out these are the things that she should be posting instead of nitpicking.
