If that is the case, that's bloody awful on her part for being romantically involved with him.
in the past, so in my opinion, a current user (whether its used recreationally or not) shouldnt be anywhere near a person in recovery, let alone dating them. From personal experience, it could unravel for him very quickly if she were to use in front of him one day & he thinks "duck it - one won't hurt" and then he'll back back at square one with regards to his addictions.I hope he doesn't hit the "duck it" button and relapse ~ as much as he grinds my gears, as the daughter of an addict, I'd hate to see him throw his sobriety etc away.Hahaha, I was cringing throughout the festival stories, especially the one where the bald geezer was suggesting him and his new Mrs were at it in the portaloos

but his 3 years of sobriety is a real achievement. I can't imagine if he did have a slip up, he would post about it either though, so I guess we'd never know.

I really do hope he isn't on the road to relapse.I’ve got to admit that when I saw Kirk’s stories of being at the festival, and then admitting he’d felt tempted to take a pill - well I definitely felt worried for him. He shouldn’t even be putting himself in that sort of environment, 3 years of sobriety is still relatively early days, and I definitely agree that this new woman does not look like she’ll be a good influence on him.
I have this sinking feeling though that a relapse is on the cards for Kirk, now that he’s felt that pull of temptation again
Yeah at the end of the festival he did a few stories back at his car saying it was the first time in 3 years that he’d felt really strongly tempted and thought that he might just take a pill because everyone else was. My mum was an alcoholic, in her 1st year of sobriety she couldn't be near people drinking, as she became stronger she could and was eventually able to top our glasses up at Christmas time etc, somehow I don't see it being the same with
