Keto Diet

Day 4 AM- I've woken up this morning and weighed myself (even though I said I wouldn't!) . I've lost 2 pounds (3lbs Since Monday) I do feel like I've definitely got the keto flu but I'm going to power through because I feel like I'm doing something right. I definitely do feel less bloated, have less sugar crash outs. I do feel like I'm starving in parts, but I think thats normal.
Well done!
Keto flu is a bit brutal but I kept telling myself it was because the diet was working which helped.
My hunger is definitely down compared to when I was on my normal diet. I don't get the intense pangs where I need to eat crisps or chocolate.
I'm still struggling to find a carb replacement - I see Holland and Barrett do a sort of carb free rice so am planning a curry.
I see results though. After only three weeks my belly is so much smaller. I just feel smaller all over.
I'd genuinely given up on myself. I've tried restrictive diets for years but this is the first one I've seen is working and I've not been hungry.

Jelly, have you tried grated cauliflower if you are desperate for rice? I got lazy and just served curry with cauliflower. It was fine and got some veg in.

Scales are liars. I ended up using string and marking the loss around key points of my body. I don’t care what I weigh. I care what I look like and how I feel. Scales make me feel like tit. If I had used the scales I would have given up in a month!

Ooh thanks for the tip.
I agree avoid scales. I never use them or would get disheartened. I judge it all on how I feel and how clothes fit. I don't count calories or use scales. I never thought I'd say that about a diet - that works.

Thank you. I keep telling myself the same thing like it’s normal and it’s just my body readjusting!

I’m glad it’s working for you & you’re feeling loads about yourself too!

Yeah I’m definitely going to try and avoid the scales, and go off how I feel and long! But I do like knowing if something is coming off espically in these early stages!

Due to life stress and not being able to eat properly I have stalled starting keto, however my appetite is coming back and i've been trying to do mostly Keto but going to become strict from next week so doing some meal prep. I'm feeling very uninspired for breakfasts though, does anyone have any good go tos?
I quite enjoyed the fry up tray bake adapted from fast 800 but don't want to have that every day

I have a terrible flare up of a sciatica type pain - i know it’s because I’ve let carbs slip in ( i do imf - 2 meals a day because I’m not hungry for breakfast ) however- ginger nuts/ fig rolls/ mash- TOAST etc have crept back in , and are definitely not my friend- chat gpt is excellent- have my shopping list ready ( can’t do nut milks etc - so it suggests alternatives) if you have time in the morning- cheese/mushroom/ pepper omelette ( fantastic microwave omelette makers on amazon) if you need menu help just shout - and hopefully I’ll solve my own inflammation issues soon 🙏
Breakfast suggestions - i buy tesco ready cooked salmon- have avocado ( cherry toms sometimes) with it -
