Seeing her like this makes me uncomfortable too and I can't work out why because I think she's beautiful and she has an amazing body, but it's like the age of her face and body don't match and it makes me unnerved. I don't think she looks 'old' at all, just her age, but her body obviously looks alot younger and I dunno, it's weird. It does feel body-shaming to say so, but I think she's super attractive, it's just a weird uncanny valley situation like someone said above.

I think Katy is just desperate for a hit at this point and it's just embarrassing. She hasn't had a big international hit since Prism 10 years ago.
Dr Luke and Max Martin were involved with pretty much every one of her big songs, as soon as she stopped using them (witness onwards), she became a bit of a joke.
There's no denying Katy is probably one of the biggest icons of the millennial era, but that's the problem, she's stuck in 2012 and fashion has moved on. No one wants to see her squirty bra anymore

Katy started off doing the singer-songwriter thing and I think it would have been way better if she had switched back to that. She may not be the strongest singer, but songs about motherhood or delving into her past relationships would actually have been interesting.

A "female empowerment" anthem where the majority of the writers are men, the producers are mostly men and the video was directed by a man.

As for the video, there was a screenshot going around about what would happen in the video. From what I can remember, she is a sex doll who comes to life and gets a bunch of other sex dolls turned humans behind her and in the end, they kill their 'masters' for using and abusing them. Her fans are claiming it is fake but from the clips I have seen so far, I wouldn't be too sure and if it is, she is worse than I thought she was...doing a video about victims taking their power back while working with a known abuser...SMDH.

I saw a thing on X saying the nun who died in court put a curse on her and I am starting to think there actually might be something to it because if ever you wanted an example of a string of bad luck, this is it.

If there is a wrong way to do something, she does it and never learns. She also seems to think stripping and being half naked will get her attention and have people buy the record but seems to forget her biggest fans are...or rather were teenagers and/or gay men.

The album is full of rejects from other artists. It's dreadful. If she plans to tour she'll have to market it as a hits tour.

I don't understand the video at all, the close ups of rubbing her tits I assumed were parody. But after she's reborn with her ass out all she does is run over a parked car (what was that cars crime? Do powerful woman destroy cars?) before stealing a ring light after doing a contrived tiktok dance

Her whole speach about womanhood and being a mother while promoting this has no correlation. She had all the money, time and resources just to do anything she wanted.

Charli is very much in at the moment, she's gone from last album in a bikini to this album low res text. Woman's world is so out of touch of the world today. Katy's vapid campaign would have been tedious in 2010.

Aww I proper loved One of the Boys. Teenage Dream had banger after banger but I think everything she’s done since then has missed the mark. She should just retire with her riches, handsome man and kid before she starts to enter tragic territory, which she pretty much has now anyway. I saw that TikTok live of her thrusting at the camera and basically died. I’ve started to get secondhand embarrassment from her, and if you’d told me 10 years ago I’d end up feeling pity for KATY PERRY I wouldn’t have believed you.

Katy doesn't need the money at all from this tour. She's easily earnt half a billion dollars with selling off her successful music (just at the right time a few years ago), idol for a couple of years, many well attended tours, brand deals etc. She's apparently selling off her apple cider vinegar company at the moment to make a small fortune.

She wanted to tour for her own ego.

It's going to be a long slog if she looks that uncomfortable on night one. They're going to need to give away and discount a lot of tickets to fill the North American stadiums.

Chained to the rhythm and never really over are good. Those mild hits are the best she could ever hope for.

Her team considered them a flop and thought the way to get her back to her heyday was Luke. Such idiots. Katy was never destined for long at the top. They should have realized after that papaya thing.

The synergy of both of them releasing their projects at the same time hasn't quite worked out:

The best bit is how fabulously unimpressed Katy Perry is by it all. She watches the big finale – squirrel-gliding three miles down the coast and trying not to land in the water and drown – and pretends an interest. But she so clearly doesn’t care that you find yourself quite warming to her. Not enough to give the remaining two episodes a go, obviously, but a warming nevertheless.

I think you’re tripping. But I love Katy with her curves and at her Roar/California Girls best. U get artists constantly reinvent themselves to stay relevant but I don’t like this ozempic version of Katy. She looks like a trash panda kardashian.

i feel like she’s trying too hard to compete with all these other girls in the market atm when she already had secured her own niche she didn’t need to do anything like this. She didn’t need dr Luke. I think she tainted herself by having him work in her album.

She still seems to think she is the huge A+ lister she was in the early to mid-00s and is acting that way. In her defence, she might finally wise up when she sees ticket sales are low and rebrand it but time will tell.

I'm not sure if her confidence after not having a hit single for 10 years is impressive or insanity.

The revenue for the Newcastle witness date should have been a wake up.

She needs to do what Avril did on her last tour, tickets about the same price as a mid meal out and focus on the throwback stuff. Although Avril's new stuff was actually decent.
