Having been lucky enough to spend time in Japan I’ve got to say the days she’s doing (and putting those kids through) are insane. Crack of dawn for photos of empty streets in Gion (I don’t believe they were taken at 8am), then out to Arashiyama, temple, back to Arashiyama, boat trip and then a 30 minute killer walk (trust me I’ve done it) up the hill to the Monkey Park and back down again!! The park closes at 4pm and they’re strict on timings. They must only be stopping places for pitstop photos for instagram which is really sad for the kids and can’t be much of a holiday for them

Her children must be wired differently to the ones I know. I can’t imagine any children actually enjoying that holiday, especially that little boy.
Even if they’ve had a two week half term, she was still posting today and surely they’d need at least a day in between flying home and going back to school?
I think they might be Cambridgeshire area and apparently their council’s half term was one week and ended May 30th

Her eldest is year 9 as well, lots of assessments happening atm at my son’s school in preparation for GCSE sets next year.
Yeah, I’m not sure why she’d take them out for a week or possibly more. I get that Japan is an amazing place but surely she didn’t need to go that badly

This is what I don’t get. Yes, it’s nice to do things that please the whole family - adults included, but this seems to be just an exercise in indulging her need to show off on social media. They have wandered about shops, taken a million pictures, fed a deer and ordered food nobody likes. For two whole weeks. Have not even been to Disneyland (wonder if this is coming)

I’m not sure, but I’m sure it’s something to do with computer software. Im pretty certain he has a techy based job.
Is she STILL in Japan?? I know she often posts stuff a few days later so maybe they're back. But if not, a three week holiday and fines for 2 weeks off school for three kid is going to be extortionate!
I think they came back Weds judging by when she was silent on IG. Still at least 3 days’ of school fines as don’t most schools only charge after 10 sessions missed? Also, did she make her kids go back Thursday after a long flight?
Her Japan content has been really tit compared to other content she’s made. It feels all about getting the photo and not actual informative stuff - her Thailand trip in contrast was so informative I thought and I’ve saved a few of her tips for when I go
The jet lag coming home from Japan will be no joke for the kids and the husband straight back into school and work routines. Won’t be a prob for Katie though
Wonder where they’ve got planned for the actual summer holiday as we all know she’s super lucky/grateful/blessed/honoured/humble BUT NOT SMUG about constantly going on these extortionate holidays every few months but she’s just like us remember
I think she only thinks about herself with these holidays. No way would her kids choose Japan.
Holidays are about making memories. Her children have had some amazing opportunities but I wonder when older if they will see these as holidays or just remember watching Katie constantly on her phone or them hanging around waiting to take the perfect shot. One which will be one of her 10 million 'favourite photos ever'.
I giggled at the idea that her teen and tween daughters suggested the photo of her and John sitting on the floor with the view of the skyline. Never in a million years would my daughter ever think about instagramable photo opportunities for her parents. Shows how much time they will have spend having the perfect picture taken.
