I like KR parenting style, even if Violet seems a little almost too mature for her age. She does seem like a good kid and a good big sis to her bro.

But the hubbie, he just gives me the ick so bad and I am not really sure why. I think it is his clothes and those bloody hats and his shoes. But also his personality (or lack there of), but I do like their love story.

I don't really like how KR like to dish out hot takes left right and centre, but also seems like an epic fence sitter at same time. I enjoy her podcast, but she is about an funny as a puddle of piss!!

Same with me, big alarm bells. She legit hero worships him, I find sometimes people are talking themselves into someone. But she does genuinely seem to love him/infatuated by him. But looks wise they are on par, so she shouldn't really be thinking she is punching.

Plays golf. Does some gardening.
I think he is now just basically the parental childcare whilst she continues to tour and work.
Which is fine but there is nothing else to him.

I think they both knew what they were doing when they reconnected. She wanted her uterus housed with more babies, he wanted to be housed and made for life

She just strikes me as a very insecure, needy person. One of these types who look around and all her friends are getting married, so she feels she has to too. Plus it gives her more material to use for her 'act'. Bit like all the tit she's done to her face, why? Again, based on insecurities about her 'looks' one suspects. Completely meh to me verging on the irritating. But I don't think a working-class bloke in his 40s is the demographic she's aiming at, so it's all good.

You forgot smoking something she hates but yano, he only does it when he’s and it’s not like we’ve seen photos of him with a fag in hand when he’s not playing I feel like if this was anyone else she would categorically say absolutely not and jog on so duck knows what spell he has over her. Ok, let me start by saying I really like Katherine Ryan- I listen to her podcast, I've seen her live, I think she seems like a cool chick who would be fun and interesting to hang out with.

But I think I agree about Bobby K- I'm not sure what bothered me about him but I just think he seems dull AF, and a bit judgemental. Does anyone else remember an episode of her podcast that he was on once, about a year ago, where he said something like if you reach your early/mid 30s and have never had a serious relationship to the point of living with someone, there must be something wrong with you (or words to that effect- I don't care to dig it out again as I found his words quite nasty and unnecessary). I was out for a jog at the time and clearly was feeling a little hormonal/delicate, but I remember getting tears in my eyes thinking how mean it sounded! I was 34 and had never lived with a guy- have had several good relationships though and am a fully-formed human. Don't know why it got to me that day!

I agree that he seems to have the life of Reilly now, but of course there is nothing wrong at all with being a house-husband, especially with a schedule as full-on as hers. She seems to work 24/7 and said on the latest pod that her son is with her all the time- I guess like attachment parenting? Their setup seems to work really well for them, and they seem genuinely in love. But yeah, he seems boring to me, not that smart or with much going on with himself other than golfing, and just gives the impression of being an empty vase

That’s it! What did he do back in Canada for work do we know? He became a HH the second they got in a relationship, unless he was working before the baby came along? . As long as their not hurting anyone blah blah blah but I just find everything about it all weird

She was not defensive at all as she went through them, even though some of them are quite harsh! Seems she does live the ethos of her book 'The Audacity'! I'm even more of a fan now.

And she's right somewhat about double standards on househusbands v housewives, no one would question a male comedian whose wife stayed home with the kids. I would personally find it boring to be home all day with children, whether male or female, and not have a career of my own- but it's been the done thing until relatively recently- now 99% of couples need to have both people working in order to live. KR's lifestyle is very unusual too with all of the travelling and touring- I couldn't see any other setup than the one they have really working? In that sense, he's not really staying at home. They're always on the go!

Bobby still wouldn't be to my taste (even in the new podcast, when, regarding Katherine's manner with service staff, he said something like "some people would say you're a bleep")- but he doesn't have to be.

Also let's not forget, we don't *actually* know any of these people. Comedians, influencers, TV personalities etc, do a good job of making you feel like you know them, and maybe you do get to know a certain part of them. But we haven't actually got a clue!
