There is usually a Britain based comic on the show alongside the actors/singers etc. I think if you were to look up most the the uk panel show regulars, you’d see that most of them have been on GN at one point or another promoting a book or tour. Rob Beckett, Jo Brand, Josh Widdecombe, Greg Davies, Sarah Millican, John Bishop etc etc. I’m sure she is not the only one who hasn’t been on but considering her show All That Glitters is BBC it is strange that there hasn’t been cross promotion there…

I don't find any of those people you mentioned funny in any way. Is there something wrong with me? Tell a lie, I found Jo Brand funny in the early 90s.

It’s subjective I guess. The fact is she is pretty big still, had a Netflix show, sells out tours, had a well selling book etc so it is strange that she’s never once been on it

A 'best selling book' just means the publisher has paid money to media outlets. Of all the people in Britain currently writing children's books do you honestly believe David Walliams writes great books for children? Come on.

You seem to think the fact that you don't find them funny is relevant somehow.

Didn’t say best selling, said it sold well and also
I didn’t say he writes great books. Plenty of people do think that and buy them though

Just look at the list of people on there.
To have not been on once is odd…

The only bit I don't buy about this is the story about why she ended up finding tattle. I reckon most if not all celebs know exactly what tattle is!

i do buy it, she doesn’t strike me as someone who would have a google alert on her name plus tattle is more of an ‘issue’ for influencers and more minor celebs. I had no idea it existed until I was googling Pandora sykes and dolly alderton to if anyone else was getting annoyed with their podcast. It was a revelation 😅

That could be true. I suppose people like Katherine are worlds apart from the grammers who check here daily to see what people are saying about them! Good on her for podcasting about it anyway, i wish more of them would do it!

Interesting.. too late for me now to listen to the ep from 2020 but just found this https://www.comedy.co.uk/people/news/5815/katherine-ryan-wont-go-on-mock-the-week/.

"In a 10-minute segment, Ryan also asks why there is no UK equivalent of Samantha Bee, a woman hosting a late-night comedy show, and why she has never been invited to appear on The Graham Norton Show."
Graham probably doesn't like her. His chat show is produced by his own company and then BBC buy the rights to show it. It isn't technically a BBC show so they would have no say in trying to get Graham to cross promote their shows.

She may well have had her daytime running lights on which can’t be switched off. Sounds like her proper lights are automatic. I have the same and if they’ve been moved from the automatic setting by a toddler you wouldn’t necessarily notice pregnant or not

Erm isn’t that a large glass of white wine in her latest story? Is it ok to drink when you’re in your third trimester?
