Both places are beautiful! They've clearly got some money. Very classy and beautifully styled. Minimal tatt. Why does she keep buying so much stuff? Why does she keep this so quiet? It would be actually interesting content to hear how they run this additional income stream. I guess they pivoted during covid and did renovations on the second house. Maybe Lee's job (coaching?) Is seasonal or ended. Even if they hire out the cleaning (maybe they do it) this all still requires time and management and dealing with people.
I find it quite disgusting really that she goes round hoovering up so much stuff from charity shops and carboot sales when she clearly is quite wealthy. I know it's mostly useless tat anyway, but how about leaving some for those less well off or who are on low incomes who would like a treat now and again. You know, like people who work hard for a living and haven't just had everything handed to them on a plate. She also said a few weeks ago that she had been getting freebies off Facebook market place. Disgusting greedy selfish entitled pig.
She probably wants to appear to be relevant
Maybe those extra homes are where her tat ends up living, especially furniture and "decorative" pieces. Could you imagine being subjected to her stupid voices/ impressions/singing ? Nope, best that Lee deals with the guests as she'd clear the place in a heartbeat.
She's totally missed a great opportunity not incorporating the house rentals into her vlogs. It could actually be interesting and take her out of her rut, mind you it would also be challenging so not for our lazy Kate. The possibilities for her vlogs are endless if she just made more of an effort. She could learn how to bake/cook, use that lovely kitchen more, plant in her garden and show the progress rather than the standard mug shot every other day and even do proper room makeovers instead of just showing when it's all done.
I wonder if she keeps them quiet to avoid the revenue or does she hide her YouTube revenue? I'm almost certain that all those freebies need to be declared.
I'm guessing she doesn't want people who recognise her from YT or fellow thrifters staying next door - they might beat her to the plastic foliage station at Julie's car boot! 
I always had the impression she was very fortunate to have her Mum invest in a property with both her and Lee, but that it was likely more her Mum's wealth that secured it for them, as they're a youngish couple. I don't think she has a regular income, as Lee is or was the main breadwinner, so letting Mum's house makes financial sense. It might seem 'easy' money, but I would imagine it's also very imposing having strangers staying in the house next door, overlooking your own garden. Fair play to her and Lee for making that decision. The alternative would be to sell it and then the opportunity is lost forever. I agree that she's spoilt, irritating and very greedy, but I can see the rationale behind what they're doing here.

I'm actually going to count all the hallway pictures on her feed some day when I'm bored. Think it's one of her most reshared pictures so maybe that's why she keeps posting them. What am I even saying, this is Kate we're talking about, she's just Lazy with a capital L. Also think it's time for her horrible plant stand to have its own page at this point
