I listened in for the first time yesterday and if it was him presenting alongside her, I thought he was quite snappy at times and I’m sure there was an occasion when he blatantly disregarded someone’s request and just played what he wanted. Maybe it was something to do with that?

I do feel sorry for her if this is true. Yes, she was very full-on with Henry, but the Kings did take him on their holiday and he seemed glad to have her company with how they had a set time to call each other every day. Turning them away like that is a bit heartless

tbh i highly doubt she actually got turned away. probably someone on twitter taking the piss

Her life is literally a soap opera. She's a producer at SMHR and not trained as a presenter (I believe they don't trust her to handle it herself, even though I think she probably could) so she's not allowed to do shows alone. She used to do the Wednesday night request show too but the presenter for it also left, which meant the Wednesday night request show got cancelled. And now the Tuesday one too. Who knows what's going on.

Kate also used to present at Wycombe Sound, another community station, but was let go from that. As far as I know she's never mentioned why.

Pretty rough day for her if she really has been turned away from the funeral and now has lost one of her hobbies.

Brief summary of the last 24 hours in the Kate King Universe:

- Grandad’s funeral was held
- Kate was allegedly turned away from the funeral by Henry’s relatives
- Kate’s co-host has been suspended
- The Tuesday night request show is over
- Kate has lost a voluntary job she’s occupied since 2017

THE DRAMA! In all seriousness, I hope he’s been suspended on legitimate grounds and it isn’t due to some fan of hers getting him in trouble simply for a laugh, considering she’s had this job a long time so I think it’s undeserving that she loses out on voluntary work due to her co-host’s behaviour or the behaviour of listeners.

That Kate King fan account is normally pretty accurate and has been following her since 2016 or maybe even earlier. I think they might live locally but not sure.

I think they’ve said in the past that they directly communicate with Kate over Facebook.

I know she can be petulant but she's had the day from hell so best wishes to Ar Kate

She should start a podcast tbh
