Why are her mum and dad allowing her to broadcast this? I don’t wanna be insensitive but she made out he had died weeks ago? I know what it’s like to loose a grandad and it destroyed me but I wouldn’t post a video crying then whack it on tiktok
I agree. I understand grief and sadness, but it’s there’s a strange dark energy behind her when she’s saying stuff like “I can’t do this without you…” “he was my everything…” and I feel mean saying it but it’s like she’s acting in an episode of Emmerdale and being performative with her grief and recycling cliche phrases. I also wonder whether ‘Grandad’ had an actual family of his own and what they think of Kates bizarre relationship with him, especially when talking about him dying she makes it all about her in her fb post.
The sad reality is that she’ll have a few days bawling on Twitter and then move on very quickly like she did when she announced the first time he died last week!

Sad news about Grandad. It’s clear she placed a lot of importance on her relationship with him. I like how she said in her TikTok video that he’s “properly” dead this time to avoid another Bobby Ewing moment.

Yeah. Quite a few things were troubling. And I agree she’s (once again) making things all about her, especially with the “how dare he leave me” comment. But yeah I think she’ll cope fine, I imagine a couple of days after the funeral she’ll be back to her regular videos and we won’t hear anything about him.
It’s sad to see her grieving. However he always looked very frail. Her parents should have prepared her for this happening. He was in his late 80s.

I'm going to guess Mick was sent to sleep in a spare room. I thought the fact "Grandad" was in a coma for a few weeks and he was "dead to her" would make things easier for her.
Her parents definitely mollycoddle her, although they've also encouraged her to drive and tried to prepare her for the bowls club job (maybe not very well since they've been retired for so long, but still). I guess it's difficult raising a disabled child because you want to protect them. The best thing they could probably do now is encourage her to get some friends her own age, because being surrounded by retirees every day is hardly helping her confidence and motivation to find a job.

She seems all good now and I assume the day of the funeral will be her last blip/meltdown, apart from when emotional songs come on at Aqua... The grief counsellor seems to have helped a lot. I'm wondering if she got bullied badly at school which is why she's scared of people her own age. Maybe her parents should encourage her to keep going to a therapist to deal with that, or try to find some kind of life coach?
She goes to a disabled club and I would have thought there would be some younger people there ? She just doesn’t seem to like anyone under the age of 60. I do think her parents should have encouraged her to mingle with more people, not just pensioners.
