If there are any Happy Valley fans in here who watched last night’s episode, this should make you laugh 
- I see she’s now offered for him to request a song for her to play on her radio show tonight (no doubt her answer to his request will be “We don’t have that one sorry”).
I don't wish her any harm but I also don't think Kate is a particularly nice person. She's so snappy and sarcastic all the time and it's a bit grating to be honest.
I think she’s very much a product of the environment which she’s grown up in. I think her being quite sarcy is her way of feeling grown up probably because she’s trying to emulate the behaviours of her parents and their friends. She has mainly spent her time around old people considering both her parents are in their 60s/70s, and hasn’t got any family relatives who are roughly the same age as her. I don’t think her parents dragging her to church, the bowls club and the latest Zumba and aqua-aerobics classes round Aylesbury has helped matters.
Ultimately I think the way she expresses herself is perfectly fine. It’s nice to see someone whose young having an eccentric personality but she needs to stop taking herself too seriously. The only reason Rylan has become aware of her is through the memes generated by her onlookers on Twitter, not because of her Tuesday night radio show where she plays Billy Ocean on a continuous loop.
Has anyone been keeping up with her latest antics? She made a TikTok the other day, ranting about how she will only play the requested songs of people, if they write essays convincing her why she must play their requested song on her radio show. Apparently, there was an incident a few months ago at Stoke Mandeville Hospital Radio where she accidentally said a naughty word after reading out a request from one of the listeners which nearly got her fired

Oh and here she is declaring her undying love for Grandad! I was surprised to learn she’s only known him for three years. With the way she talks up their relationship I assumed she’d known him since she was a child.
I was also quite surprised to learn she can drive. I wonder how her cerebral palsy affects her driving ability because I’m sure it prevents her from being able to lift one of her arms.
Oh and she’s been ranting on TikTok today at people who have suggested she go jobseeking.

It was in August last year. It was a very long email from a reader in which the word “it will take that contagious” was placed in sentence as if it meant “it will take that bleep ages”.
She’s stuck in a bubble of being a ‘little girl’ and a ‘good girl’ for ‘grandad’ and other old men at the bowls club it’s very unhealthy especially now grandad is on his last legs and she’s having regular meltdowns . She is very immature despite the old outlook. All this whilst simultaneously calling grandad one of the ‘boys’. Grandad is 90 years old.
Everything is very messed up relationship wise for her. If she was just best friends with a few old ladies it would be different. This is very very strange indeed. I feel like she needs some proper diagnosis for her mental health issues and/or neurodivergence.
I think the relationship with grandad is kind of like a reverse emotional incest situation if that makes sense. He’s a cross between a grandparent and a partner to her.

- Imagine some old pensioner whose laid out in hospital tuning into their radio station for a bit of light relief, only to hear Kate King shout “bleep” on the airwaves.I do wonder what some of the members down the bowls club think of her. Most of them are probably OAPs I imagine, so I wonder if they still view Kate as a child due to the considerable age difference and her emotional immaturity?
I'm glad you said this because I can't find her endearing like other people have. I know she's a product of her environment (70 year old woman in a 24 year old body still baffles me) but she's clearly very stunted in many aspects because she's never been made to do anything that isn't aqua class or bowls.
Her parents won't be around forever and she won't have any life skills or job experience to fall on to live a normal life. She needs a job and some friends who aren't pensioners.
Sad news tonight regarding Grandad…
I really feel for her and I don’t know how she’ll cope if he does go. She places lots of importance on their relationship even though in the grand scheme of things she’s only known him a short while. I know she’s been saying that she’s been off her food a lot lately due to the stress brought on by Grandad’s hospitalisation and immobilisation so as horrible as this may sound, if he’s no longer around, at least she won’t be constantly reminded of what their relationship used to be like, via his presence which may relieve her stress slightly.
It seems she’s already been trying to make peace with the possibility of him passing away, judging by a comment she left on a TikTok about someone losing their parents which I saw yesterday…

I’m so confused, 1hr ago she posted a dancing tiktok and then literally immediately after posted a video sobbing uncontrollably to Enrique Iglesias?
I think he’s in a coma from a stroke and they have said he’s not expected to survive. 
very sad & I hope she gets through everything ok. Her parents have a lot to answer for not preparing her for the real world in anyway whatsoever.

I’ve noticed this too. Her mood chops and changes quite dramatically, if the way she presents herself on social media is anything to go by.
For anyone wondering, Kate has responded to a comment on her TikTok asking what’s wrong with Grandad. She’s said he had a stroke on Saturday and is currently unconscious and comatose. It‘s very unlikely he’ll recover from this, so it’s a waiting game until he passes. I wonder what her parents think of all this, considering Grandad isn’t a biological relation to either of them and I doubt they’ll have the same relationship with him, as Kate does.
