Such a creepy relationship
I couldn’t hear a word she was saying for most of the vlog. Why is she gabbing on in front of a buzzing coffee machine? 
She’s live on TikTok as I’m typing this, slagging off the bowls club and dishing the dirt on when she got the sack 
. It’s all very dramatic. When her dad heard the news, he cleared out his locker at the bowls club and refused to play there, ever again. Apparently he left Kate at the club, whilst he went home to gently break the news to Val that she got the sack. Val apparently stormed up the bowls club and rescued Kate from Muggins’ grip. Kate was told she was incompetent and technologically-unable. This has left Kate emotionally scarred causing her to stop going to the bowls club… for a month.
In all seriousness, I did feel sorry for her when she was talking about why she doesn’t have a job and why she took getting sacked from the bowls club so personally. She said she’s limited to a certain amount of jobs she can do due to her cerebral palsy, and there’s only so many employers who are disability-confident. The job at the bowls club was perfect for her, but there’s still so many skills required for a receptionist-type role that she lacks. She seems a nice girl, and can talk a lot of sense but she needs to be given a chance by someone.

I do hope she knows she won’t be able to live with Mum and Dad forever. The Dad especially looks quite old to me.

I think Kate is pretty stubborn, she'd be really difficult to manage in any job role.

It looks really similar to my Grandmas hand, she had an accident as a child and ended up with a lot of damage to the tendons. It healed badly and coz it was like the 1940s, there wasn’t much that could be done, so she has never been able to really use her fingers on that hand and it’s all bent up and basically been non functional for her entire life unfortunately. Does anyone know if something similar happened to kate?

She has cerebral palsy, I think she said it happened because she was a forceps birth. Idk much about it though because it seems like it has gotten worse
I’ve stumbled into the Kate King cinematic universe and I’m obsessed. ‘Grandad’ creeps me the duck out though and especially the way she acts around him. I do feel sorry for her though, she doesn’t interact with anyone her own age and has become quite bizarre because of it. Makes me sad because you can see she’s determined and confident to do things but, I think her parents have babied her so much that she’s stuck in this loop of thinking she’s one of her parents pensioner friends instead of living her life.
Completely agree. I’m sure she’s said before that Grandad isn’t actually her biological grandfather but is in fact, some castaway who she adopted from the bowls club which only emphasises the weirdness of the relationship.
I understand her cerebral palsy probably has a lot to do with why she’s been held back so much in life. I think she’s a character, and it’s brilliant to see someone quite young be so eccentric and display characteristics you would typically associate with older generations, but I’m still actually yet to see her interact with someone from the younger generation. I don’t think Mick and Val dragging her to church influencing her to adopt traditional beliefs, only for her to get brainwashed by a pair of nuns has helped this matter.
I think the first thing step she needs to take to establishing a more fulfilling life is to start job-hunting. This way she’ll have no choice but to interact with people her own age. If she’s worried she’ll get rejected from jobs due to her disability, on the government website she can search for available jobs, who are disability-confident employers. There’s a number of jobs she can do despite her cerebral palsy. She’s already got experience hosting radio as a result of her voluntary work, which would look nice on a CV. She’s also could talk about the skills she’s acquired through sport such as teamwork. She’s clearly a good communicator as well considering she’s built a good rapport with many fellow bowls club attendees. It really wouldn’t be that difficult for her to get a job.
Kate has said before she is terrified of people her own age and hides when she sees them in town etc. 
I’ve just seen her latest tik tok where she says “grandad” is really ill and she’s upset about it. I can understand feeling sad about that but then she says “I’m going to miss being a granddaughter” and that she said that “grandad” said he loves her. Even when it’s sad it’s bleeping weird.
