I just saw one of her weird posts on Instagram and it reminded me -- does she look jaundiced to anybody else? Has she always had that weird skin color? Could be just me. Or maybe she puts a lot of makeup on to look sick? or because she thinks spraytan bronzing makes her beautiful?
Agree. Whenever I see one of her videos, her skin colour always strikes me as off, and she looked very jaundiced in the mexico ones. She definitely doesn't look healthy to me - especially for someone doing so many supposedly 'healthy' protocols.

--

I'm not white-knighting her - but I do think she's actually sick. I think the grift is in the story she tells around how sick she was initially (to get sympathy for funds for Mexico, plus it benefitted her lifestyle) and how she overstates the effects of the woowoo medicine rather than admitting that it's the alectinib that's keeping her alive. It's obvious she absolutely hates mainstream medicine but is far too arrogant to admit how much she needs it.

Or something like that.

I agree – I think Mexico is her way of convincing herself that she can control the disease. If she admits that the Alectinib is what's ultimately keeping her alive, then she has to accept that it will eventually stop working and she can't/won't do that.

There's probably quite a bit of arrogance under that as well, as she can't seem to accept that 'someone like her' would get lung cancer. I appreciate that it must be an awful situation, but it's not an excuse to manipulate vulnerable people in such a disgraceful way.

I think it’s a bit of a case of wilful blindness to the impact she could be having on people in similar situations by giving them hope, and the risk she represents of people going against mainstream medicine. She is totally focused on her own situation and is doing what she needs to to survive, she probably knows H4C isn’t curing her, but it might be helping a bit and that’s enough for her to continue to advertise for them to get her back there.

She’s also so damn passive aggressive in her responses to anyone who questions her or offers constructive suggestions…
Ive said it before here I think, but the burden of proof is on the person making the claim. You cant tell someone to go to pubmed and read an article. Thats not how science works. If someone is claiming some miracle cure, the burden of proof is on you to prove how it works. This is why we have papers and conferences and Key Opinion Leaders in our fields.
A person querying her claims maybe doesnt know how to read a paper. I have written maybe 100 papers in my time as a scientist and still reading others papers and posters can be tricky by just skimming it. You cannot expect someone to read an abstract either, thats not enough to understand the results.
She's such an arrogant, passive aggressive piece of tit.

Its probably the tumeric/curcumin. It can halt melanin production (Limited evidence on this. A lot comes from women of south asian descent who use it to lighten darkened underarm skin).
But i do think she lives in a solarium. She never has tan lines and is brown as hell. For a native of the UK this is not normal.

She has posted before about how she actively tans as she believes it has health benefits. That was wild to me as I know quite a few Australians/people living in Aus and they absolutely never tan!

What an absolute grub she is. I hope she doesnt get melanoma. Her woowoo tit definitely wont save her from that.

As an aussie who lives overseas, I will only buy my sunscreen every year when I go to Aus. I know its completely anecdotal but every time ive bought 50plus in the US ive gotten sunburnt. The UK we're only blessed with 25plus for the face. So i just get what i need every summer and bring it back home with me.
I dont know anyone who actively tans anymore. Not when we know the dangers of the sun.

I’m not familiar with ports and the way they need to be maintained. It would seem that keeping the area as clean as possible would be important. She had a giant gauze over it the days she was at the clinic but nothing at all for her tourist excursion. Would it not be important to cover it to protect the area from sand and dirty sea water and sweat when at the beach and out partying? Or is that not a big deal?

Lolllllllll. She's not sick at all. Her followers who do have cancer, I feel so sorry for them, she is sending them into an early grave so she can make a buck or two.
I really believed she has cancer, i really truly did. But not anymore, does she just have Munchausen syndrome (factitious disorder)?? Is that why all this bull is "working" and her scans are NED?

I had a funny feeling from the very beginning about Kate. I wanted to believe her because I wanted to believe no one could fake something as serious as cancer, and I used to follow her and was genuinely hoping for the best for her and her daughter, despite the strange gut feeling I got. But the more this goes on and now with the GFM as well, I just can’t see that it could be true in anyway.

For a central venous access device it’s massive deal

And that looks like a scar where her port was only a few days ago?
---
I’m not a cancer nurse so happy to be proven otherwise and have more experience with PICCS than anything but the the Agency for clinical innovation guidelines for CVAD’s are pretty clear that they must be dressed the dressing changed every 3-7days eith aseptic technique
And any kind of issue with the dressing it needs to be changed asap to prevent infection and you know…. Death

But that doesn’t look like a recent port it looks like an old scar

But as I said I could definitely be wrong

It doesn’t even look like a port-a-Cath
Again not someone who works with them but it looks like an old cvad scar

Do you put dressings on portacaths when you run infusions?
---
Answered my own question portacaths don’t need dressing unless they are being accessed and it could be but it just likes like a cvad scar
Probably is a portacath which is surprising I would have thought she would only get one if she was doing long term chemo or the like
Or has it been in for ages?
I get distracted by her pen helmet that I don’t notice her chest 😂

If I’m recalling correctly she had the port put in because she was having so many snakeoil infusions her veins collapsed and she couldn’t access them that way any more. I do recall her saying that the port had gotten infected once before and she had to have it removed and then inserted again later. Which would make me think she would be extra careful now but hey, what do I know?

I don't understand the whole enema thing. Wouldn't you only do that if you are constipated? Won't it just stuff up your whole system by constantly having enemas? Surely your body would start to rely on them to poop.
