The letter is fake.
Not only have i worked at hospitals for years and know for an absolute fact they arent pieced together like this bc its 2023 and we dont use random text boxes, I used to work WITH ICC before I left the country and I had many of their letters filed as part of my trials and they do not look like this. She's a liar. A fraud.
[/QUOTE]
Do you have contacts at ICC you could report this to? I had a former colleague fake an oncologists letter (scanned the logo and faked the letter head) and we reported it to the clinic. They didn’t do anything- but there wasn’t as much at stake. The employee lost their job tho

I personally can't purely because of my job. But trying to figure out a way. What we need is a journalist who is happy to approach the site with their credentials, now that the letter is public information the doctor may want to say yes I wrote it or no I didn't.

So ok. If her live-saving wackadoo Mexico treatments are the bits, then why do they only work for a short amount of time? Why does she have to keep returning? Why does she have to buy a kooky helmet, pizza oven, and disco headband for home use?
Does Australia have a patient portal like MyChart where all health records are accessible online? Why the need for a letter?

Also this is fu*cking dangerous and next-level anti-vaccine type tit:

Does she know what incurable means? I dont think she does. Her type of cancer has a 7 year prognosis. If she got diagnosed in 2018 then she's had these mets for the last 5 years. Shes got two more years in her if she's lucky and sticks with her conventional medicine that is helping to shrink her brain mets.

Also where are her liver mets on that letter from the dr (thanks to Pablo for pointing that out). Their last set of stories was good. Also interesting that Kate hasnt blocked pablo yet!

Does anyone have connections at Mamamia or perhaps everybody can just start flagging the story for them? They ran a story just a few days ago about a similar situation with Megan Bhari, someone over there might be willing to look into this?

Do you think just sending them all of pablos stuff will catch their attention as the work is already done for them?

It’s worth a try. Or even just a quick message like pay attention to this person, there’s something not right about this situation. I saw the Megan Bhari story on Mia Freedman’s account. I suspect she gets a ton of messages but it couldn’t hurt replying to her. Perhaps reaching out directly to the writer who authored this piece, Isabella Ross, might be more efficient if anyone knows how to do that?

Mia wouldn't touch this. She only shared the other story because all the work was already done for her.

I am really confused where I am with Kate. She is 100% dodgy but to what extent I don't know.

Yeah, it’s pretty murky. Hard to say beyond a gut feeling.
Scans are supposedly tomorrow. We shall see how much transparency Kate chooses to have around her prognosis at that point.

I think the problem facing Kate's story is that it was a gofundme right? I dont think there is much legislation around gofundme in Australia.
Like technically she isnt doing anything wrong legally. Morally and ethically she is.
We'd need a full journalist investigation bc there are so many questions.
I think for me the main way she can be called out on anything legally is; is she being paid money from H4C and not declaring it? I think this would be the only way to catch her for not paying tax on it.
Otherwise being an immoral or unethical piece of tit isnt illegal. Such a shame.

I dont know if she has cancer had cancer whatever, the clinic she promotes and is trying to make out like it saved her life when it hasnt changed a single thing for her just wasted money, other peoples money, and time from her daughter
She should have listened to that Gp and spent time with her daughter instead of soving coffee up her butt and looking like a seinfeld pen in that stupid helmet

yes there are some studies that say hydrogen may help there are also studies that say it may promote cancer cells, it depends on the cancer the treatment the person ect ect ect but this is the issue with these stupid quacks they suck desperately scared people dry financially for nothing but hope All she can say about the stupid machine is its the bees knees or its the best, the best at what?? what did they tell you it is doing to warrant you spending all of this money on it and being stuck to it all day? What does your doctor suggest? Or are you happy to get letters from them to access money but not happy to take their advice?

The drugs are keeping her alive, it it was the blue tongue and enemas they why not stop taking it? it makes no sense
cancer is horrible, i cannot imagine being so desperate it terrifies me that some day I or someone close to me will go through this but promoting this clinic, pleading for money for this bull, encouraging others who are desperate that this crap is saving you? its a lie, they are lying to you they cannot see your cancer has shrunk you literally had to fly back here to see a real doctor to have a real scan to figure out if it has or not?
raise awareness for research into these therapies if you are so convinced, stop blaming AHPRA for regulating our health care industry. They arent trying to stop you from living, they are trying to stop bleeping quacks kill you with an a full of coffee

all i can see her as now is seinfeld as a pen

I love everything you wrote but you just made me lose it with the end 😂😂😂😂😂 Seinfeld pen helmet 😂 thank you for the much needed laugh on this thread!

But also you raised a great point, certain treatments only work on certain cancers. How do these people believe a once size fits all approach works on everyone. Ive looked at the profiles of some of their "patients" and one had breast cancer. Being treated with the same "protocol" (saying that makes me cringe) as Kate. Thats not how the body works.

I've always taken the position that Kate's cancer was real, but that she had a very good response to the targeted immune drug (Alectinib) she was put on at the time of the original diagnosis (and which is the drug she says she is also taking now). I know from other cancer patients that immune therapy can significantly extend life. Emily Hayward – who was an amazing young woman who never once fundraised for herself – lived several years longer than expected due to ipilimumab and then pembrolizumab. So I never doubted that Kate's cancer was real, but now I don't know what to think as there are just so many inconsistencies.

The scan results will be interesting, depending on what she chooses to share. If she gets bad results, I don't see how she can possibly admit that and still maintain that H4C was a success. I hope that, if she really is taking Alectinib again, it's working for her and that she's at least stable with no progression (as obviously I do not want anyone to die, especially a single mother of a young child). I haven't looked into this Dr James Fletcher person at all so I don't want to say anything negative about him, but I think it's worth noting that she went to him on the recommendation of her doctor friend Olivia Lesslar (another quack affiliated with H4C) as apparently he was 'open-minded' about Mexico.

Also, if Kate is having her latest scans at her usual place, which I understand is Mermaid Beach Radiology, then it's not exactly clear what kind of scans she's going to be having. She goes to this place because they offer some kind of 'low radiation' scan, but would that show truly accurate results? I would have thought that she would need a proper MRI and/or PET scan at an actual hospital to have a really accurate picture of her current status. I will be shocked if she posts anything other than hugely positive results with lots of nonsense about how H4C has again 'cured' her and that she's either NED or close to it. If she's telling the truth about her situation then she's too deeply in denial to accept any other outcome.

Me too. She was one of a kind for sure, and she, her family and Aisha handled everything with so much dignity and class. They did exactly the right thing in leaving her YouTube and Instagram as it was and not trying to keep it going or make money from it. I still watch her videos when I'm feeling sorry for myself or lacking motivation as they give me the kick up the backside I need to just get over myself and stop moaning!

Apparently Germany also has its share of quack cancer clinics. This is an example of a terminal cancer patient being told that UK scans are wrong and they can treat her (for big $$). Here are screenshots of her posts and an in-depth article on these German clinics. Her German doctor - Kopic - is listed in the article. Farrah Fawcett is mentioned as well.
These cancer clinics are a worldwide scourge. Influencers like Kate contribute to their popularity and legitimacy.

Agree with this, I've always taken the same position and completely agree about Emily. I think she has cancer - I think she is healthy otherwise and young so she can respond well to treatment and I think the Alectinib is doing what it does for many patients. It is keeping her alive. Everything else is a farce, potentially its helping her feel in control, but the '2nd diagnosis' is just evidence to me that it never left and the cancer is just doing what it always would have done.

I unfortunately have had a lot of experience of cancer and have also been a cancer patient. What I think confuses people who don't have that experience is how people look. It is very normal to look very healthy and have cancer. One of the reasons the disease is so deadly is that it isn't easy to spot, you have to rely on finding it by identifying some very vague symptoms if its not found via screening. Most people have an image of what a cancer patient looks like - and its either someone that has had chemo, particularly if they lose their hair or is at the end of their life. I think in this Instagram age, it can be confusing to people that people with cancer can look so healthy. I myself never looked better than when I had cancer - but hadn't yet had chemo. I had lost weight - which gives people the perception of health, I changed my diet so my skin looked very clear and hair looked good and I was getting a lot of rest - I stopped work, I was able to not have so much reponsibility during treatment - but these things don't show what is going on inside and have no correlation to the disease being there or not. Jessie Lee ward is an example of someone who looked amazing - much healthier than when she didn't have cancer if you compare photos, but if you watched her lives particularly towards the end (and I see this a little in Kate) she was slowing her speech, losing track of what she was saying, leaning on things to prop herself up - she was tired and I think in a not so obvious way the cancer had taken its toll.
