For people saying that ARRCA are shady, what would be their motivation behind that though?
There's no reason for them to want to testify for the defence over the CWs case in chief. They would have got paid either way!

It really annoys me when the prosecution go in on defence experts getting paid for testimony. Literally every expert the CW have called will be getting paid! A lot of people in that courtroom are getting paid to be there, it doesn't mean bias.

I will be shocked if this trial ends in anything other than a mistrial again, question is if the CW will try a third time?

ARCCA were available to the CW too they just chose not to use them so it makes even less sense.

If there’s another mistrial I think they will go again, they’ve tried people multiple times in MA. It’ll take a change of DA for them to stop I think.

I can’t say I’m particularly enjoying a trial of a murdered man, but it’s an interesting insight into a system that I thank god I will never ever play a part in 🤣
If it was the system you were dealing with you would probably not be happy about it. Troopers and cops are regularly called as witnesses in court cases. They know how this system works. They know how to testify, be professionals, show the evidence and not get rattled by defense attorneys. Not what we are seeing with this case and honestly, as someone in this country it makes me really nervous that this type of investigation took place.

I found them on the Karen read hashtag on twitter/X.

Yuri seems less willing to argue today. Calmer and softer.

I think the defence had a great day today especially with the previously unseen footage of Higgins

Commonwealth, since you have the burden of proof, just show us how he was killed by an SUV!

I think the same after looking at images on X it looks like Albert plus the hoodie got changed when whoever it was went into the office for one minute

I didn't get to watch any of the coverage yesterday, could someone outline what this Higgins/Albert video is?

It’s footage from different cameras around the police building showing a “well built” figure dressed in a black hoody and clearly on their phone walking round and into the building. They then go into the office but the camera is on a motion sensor so not true to time their exit it’s all around 1.30am. The officer on the stand confirms it to be Higgins.

Looking at that close up its very difficult to know if it’s Higgins or Albert

This is the shortest version I could find, the footage was about 10 mins long. It’s when Higgins had said he went to CPD to move cars around but doesn’t appear to actually do that.

Interested to see who the CW will call after yesterday.
What do people think the defence will do if the CW don't call Proctor/Higgins/Albert?
Do you think they've created enough doubt in the jurys minds that if the CW doesn't call them it might be smarter for them not to either?
I imagine they want to get in their calls, sorry I mean "butt dials"!!

I think they'll have to call at least Proctor. Alan Jackson referred to him as cancer in his opening statement;

"This case. That this case carries a malignancy, one that has spread through the investigation. It spread through the prosecution from the very start, from the jump. A cancer that cannot be cut out, a cancer that cannot be cured, and that cancer has a name and his name is Michael Proctor."
