No I mean he wasn't calling Whiffin Wolf, they have a guy at a tiny desk doing their powerpoints and exhibits etc. His last name is Wolf or something similar, that's who Alessi was meaning with it, he wasn't mixing him up with Dan Wolfe

I wasn’t sure at first either but it’s a new intern running the AV he was trained by Craig who did it for the previous trial. Think a lot of us have been confused by it judging by comments
I watch with Emily D. Baker. She can talk too much, but I like her commentary. She tries to go in and only hear the evidence as the jury is. I wait until later in the day so I can put her at 1.5. She also has a separate channel for just recaps.
Ian Whiffen is such a cool calm and collected witness.
I've been called for jury duty many times, but never had to sit on a trial. I would be so terrible at this. I'm so bored, and I'm watching it at 1.5 and skipping through half of it. It would be so hard for me to sit still through a full day of this!
Yeh like they are shady and obviously had things to hide on their phones but that could be anything including things to do with money, affairs, corruption etc. they’re cops and didn’t want things like that exposed that could affect their careers. Who knows what they were involved in. But I do believe if they killed him they’d have the means and connections to get rid of a body and any evidence, I don’t see why they’d agree to leave the body on their lawnI think this is it for me! It’s all just a bit of a smoke screen and trying to create reasonable doubt for me. I’m not saying those cops weren’t corrupt or bad cops or messed up the evidence etc, but I still stick with the most obvious explanation is more than likely the right one. Some of the people that are supposedly involved in the cover up have barely to no connection to each other, why would you keep quiet about a murder? I can absolutely appreciate lots of these people were maybe pieces of tit in real life, but I am not in the cover up clan
I've become so impatient with hearing people give speeches in real life because I'm so used to watching and listening to things sped up. I'm alright with one on one having a conversation but whenever its something I'm listening to rather than interacting with, I want to shout "hurry it along".
As well the clashing experts on science/engineering/tech where I have no real basis, I find really difficult because I'm credulous of everyone because I have no idea myself.
I think this trial theres also the added pressure of the world watching and the very strong community opinions on guilt/innocence.
This made me laugh so much - I often pause podcasts to think over something they've said or to process something, and I find myself wanting to pause people in real life

And it is maddening to me that we wouldn't know what was said in any of these texts/phone records if the FBI hadn't gotten involved. Can you imagine how easy it would be to blame it on the girl? Super easy prosecution/verdict.
But, yeah a lot of it is hard to wrap my brain around whether she is guilty or innocent. I hope the science/data finally tells us if he was hit by a 7000 lb SUV and killed or not.
How do we know the SUV didn't hit the kerb at the 25mph (or whatever it was), and that registered an impact? It may not have hit John full on, but clipped him, he's fallen, hit his head etc.
As with the Lucy Letby case, they have a defendant who admitted that they did the crime, but there is still some reason to try and legitimise a theory that they're the ones telling the truth, and the multiple, multiple other people are all lying to frame them, for some unknown reason.

I guess we will have to wait and see what the prosecution has to say about the accident reconstruction this trial/injuries to his body. I can't imagine how they will be able to totally change what happened from the last trial, but we will see. And, I still don't know how you have no bruising after being clipped by an SUV.
If he was then pretty much encased in snow in freezing temperatures, would that slow down or even prevent bruising? (I’m thinking of ice packs I put on my kids!)
