Oh completely, it's never been OK and I've never understood how he has got away with that (and I'm sure other things too). I don't believe things just stopped in 2008. Like that journalist who said JB made comments to him that made him uncomfortable. Using being gay as an excuse has got to stop.

I'm not condoning his behaviour and I don't know if he has modified it or not. It's pathetic for ITV and the BBC to take action now. They should have the balls to say we knew about this behaviour, he's apologised, it hasn't occurred again and we back him. They often say that behaviour like flashing is usually a precursor to more serious sexual crimes. (The most extreme and high profile case being that piece of shit Wayne Couzens). I genuinely think Barrowman is a predator. It's not normal behaviour to act like that and I suspect there is more to come out of the woodwork.

It does seem so. When David Boreanaz got Angel, any female who got a part as an extra was warned never to be near him because of how handsy he was and if anyone did say anything, it was 'I was just having a laugh but clearly you have no humour' kind of thing. Eventually someone sued him for sexual harassment saying he did the 'you help me and I'll help you' bullshit. He denied it of course but settled. The story was, there were others and it would have come out if it did end up in court.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if down the line something like that comes out about Barrowman.

The only issue I have with all of this is the timing, especially with DOI.

John Barrowman has been doing this for a long time. It is well known in those circles. It seems to be that it was treated and accepted that it was done in a joking way and not as sexually predatory behavior. It is often been discussed and has been addressed previously. He apologised for this behaviour in 2008 and as far as I am aware he has modified his behaviour since.

So, why all the outrage now? Has it really taken 13 years for everyone to be outraged? Did ITV have no idea about his when he went into I'm A Celeb? When he was given the job on DOI? His musical shows? The BBC when he he was was doing Dr Who or the conventions?

I'm not a big fan of Barrowman but DOI will have known about this before they employed him for family friendly prime time show.

He used to be constantly mooning, be it at Dr Who conventions, while being interviewed on the radio to embarrass the presenter or on his own Twitter feed. Not to accuse him of anything, but to help put the issue into a greater context. We know actors and the industry in general tends to operate differently to most other workplaces, the stereotype of the whole ‘luvvie’ culture of being very touchy feely with each other. But a line does exist and he very clearly crossed it. That video of Noel Clark telling the story about Barrowman ‘putting it on people’s shoulders’ and the way the women did not look like that was a funny pleasant memory for them, they looked awkward and embarrassed.
