The only issue I have with all of this is the timing, especially with DOI.

John Barrowman has been doing this for a long time. It is well known in those circles. It seems to be that it was treated and accepted that it was done in a joking way and not as sexually predatory behavior. It is often been discussed and has been addressed previously. He apologised for this behaviour in 2008 and as far as I am aware he has modified his behaviour since.

So, why all the outrage now? Has it really taken 13 years for everyone to be outraged? Did ITV have no idea about his when he went into I'm A Celeb? When he was given the job on DOI? His musical shows? The BBC when he he was was doing Dr Who or the conventions?

I'm not a big fan of Barrowman but DOI will have known about this before they employed him for family friendly prime time show.

Anyone over the age of 13 and 3/4 who is that obsessed with their penis has serious issues. They'd have in need of hospital treatment issues if they'd tried that on me. Disgusting pervs.

you see Mr Barrowman it isn't up to you to decide what your colleagues thought and felt about your so called Tom Foolery and what is designated as fun on set!!
His lack of accountability is shocking, but at same time not surprising. He really doesn't see anything wrong with it. ITV are complacent in encouraging him

Yep I recall that too.

There was joy in embarrassing others with ‘accidental’ nude antics.

Must’ve been awful to work with. I can’t imagine any of my colleagues flashing their minges / willies thinking it’s hilarious and acceptable.
He used to be constantly mooning, be it at Dr Who conventions, while being interviewed on the radio to embarrass the presenter or on his own Twitter feed. I remember seeing him chatting in an interview on YouTube where he thought it hilarious that he poked his cock through a hole in the wall on the Torchwood set and thought it hilarious when Eve Myles unwittingly saw it / touched it 🤢. There was also a video of Eve Myles saying he whipped it out when he got out a car and moved it back and forth like a windscreen wiper.

The fact that he's still defending shows he hasn't learnt, I was one of his fans, but the idea that he thought pulling his dick out was fun, like wtf?
You are exposing someone to something they haven't consented to, it's literally a real life dick pic....
You can't as the person doing the behaviour classify if it is sexual harassment or not, can you imagine if a boss in an office wandered out of the loo exposed as a joke?
There's a reason flashing is a chargeable offence....

I got homophobic vibes from watching that. There's no way noel can be disgusted with crude behaviour if he was doing crude stuff himself.
I kind of felt the same. And he basically said that straight guys would wish they could get away with it. WTF?! I mean speak for yourself Noel, maybe I’m naive but none of the men I know, gay or straight, would want to do that.

Dr. Who had one bare bum scene with him which then got cropped as it was too early for the BBC. I don't remember much nudity on torchwood.

The issue was that he was flashing his knob to both male and female cast and crew. He was told to knock it off by the producers. He seems to want to take no responsibility for this whatsoever.

His career does seem to be completely over. He already had plenty of people who didn't like him for various reasons. I can't see him having too many fans left.
I am happy his career is over.
Women and men do not find this funny or "tomfoolery" in the work environment.
Grow up.
Learn to be professional at work.
Appears to have a massive ego.
Happy he has been taken down a peg or two.
I always found him very unlikeable

I used to really like him but no one who is good to be around gets their dick out at work.

I feel like there are so many blokes I was once a fan of in some way or another who turned out to be creeps or weirdos or creepy weirdos. It's draining when there's yet another one you can add to the list.

How the hell is he on prime time tv tonight presenting All Star Musicals! Shame on ITV
I guess he's been 'rehabilitated'. I think when I go into work on Monday I'll get my willy out in the office, I might get a promotion!

They often say that behaviour like flashing is usually a precursor to more serious sexual crimes. (The most extreme and high profile case being that piece of shit Wayne Couzens). I genuinely think Barrowman is a predator. It's not normal behaviour to act like that and I suspect there is more to come out of the woodwork.
It does seem so. When David Boreanaz got Angel, any female who got a part as an extra was warned never to be near him because of how handsy he was and if anyone did say anything, it was 'I was just having a laugh but clearly you have no humour' kind of thing. Eventually someone sued him for sexual harassment saying he did the 'you help me and I'll help you' bullshit. He denied it of course but settled. The story was, there were others and it would have come out if it did end up in court.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if down the line something like that comes out about Barrowman.

The different times doesn't wash with me tbh, I'm 40 and I've never known it as being ok to do that, even for a joke. Hell even my grandparents generation wouldn't.
It doesn’t wash with me either but a good portion of people seem to think that this kind of thing was ‘ok’ back in the day.

It’s the Celebrity Juice culture of enjoying making people uncomfortable and finding negative responses hilarious.

His husband is another attention seeker. John did a livestream on FB years back and the hubby just happened to walk by to go into the jacuzzi with it blowing in the wind. Of course, both acted as if it had been an accident even though the camera was placed just perfectly for you to see everything and he of course took advantage of the attention for a bit. Then a while later, he posted on Snapchat with hubby lying naked in the background and again it was 'oops I didn't notice he was there'.

As others have noted, there is a reason flashing is a chargeable offence and grounds for the sex offenders registry. It’s also commonly (but not always) a precursor to more serious sex crimes. Not to accuse him of anything, but to help put the issue into a greater context. We know actors and the industry in general tends to operate differently to most other workplaces, the stereotype of the whole ‘luvvie’ culture of being very touchy feely with each other. But a line does exist and he very clearly crossed it. That video of Noel Clark telling the story about Barrowman ‘putting it on people’s shoulders’ and the way the women did not look like that was a funny pleasant memory for them, they looked awkward and embarrassed.

I have a memory of seeing him (JB) doing naked roly polys down a hotel corridor "for a laugh" . Pretty sure it wasn't a fever dream, the image has unfortunately left a lasting effect 🤢

It will be interesting to see what the pantomime producers do, I can't see how he can headline Bristol this Christmas, especially as his recent panto performances attracted negative feedback for going too far in the innuendo stakes. It further backs up his supposed Obsession with his d**k
