Jesy Nelson #7 same old same old…

I feel like she's got a touch of the Hollie Dances - campaigning and going on TV for guest spots and documentaries and photoshoots suits her more than the duller aspects of parenting disabled newborns.

I’ve read some of the coverage this morning and I really don’t think it’s fair to put the responsibility on 3 other young women who were also navigating a difficult situation with their own problems and issues. She almost expects them to have been her therapists. If she’s anything in private like she is in public it must have been one of almost constant moaning sessions and I don’t see how they could have been expected to know this time it was serious. I bet she never asked how they were feeling or doing either.

She appears to blame their behaviour for her overdose, then in the next breath she says that she was shocked they wouldn’t speak to her without a therapist present. But if someone is saying your behaviour has led to an overdose that would seem a pretty sensible protective measure for both Jesy and the rest of the band.

It’s also pretty low that the band have been reaching out and trying to build bridges and she’s made another documentary slagging them off to thank them.

This constant drip, drip of information is wearing as well. Is she going to keep making docomentaries and dropping a new nugget of sensational information in each one? What will she do when she runs out of them? Make them up for a payday?

It feels like she’s doing this because her children’s illness is a blanket of protection and she feels like she can say what she wants about anyone now and they have no right of reply because they will get a backlash of ‘how can you be so mean when she’s going through that’.

Is she going to be in her 90s running to TV stations with ‘new revelations’
about Little Mix? ‘I wanted McDonald’s but the other 3 outvoted me to get Burger King, I felt so invalidated’.
I’m also pretty sure that Perrie and Leigh, I may be wrong were in very early stages of their pregnancy at this same time too so they all had life stresses going on

Watched 2 episodes. Zion seems like such a sweet guy, it's a shame they haven't worked out. I can imagine only really strong couples would survive what they have going on though.

Has she had a lot of work done? Her face looks so different to the X Factor days. I know it's years ago but the other girls just look older, she's changed massively.

Speaking of work done, Tulisa looks like an alien now 😕

Yeah I’m starting to think Zion is pretty sweet too.

I’ve seen a few short paragraphs about what Jesy has said and I just don’t know if I can bring myself to watch it. She’s definitely a fan of deflecting, telling the cameras one of the other girls was going to leave.

It seems like she slates them then praises them when it suits

The Sun already reported that Perrie wanted to leave years ago but agreed to stay for the last tour. So it's not even new information. I don't understand why Jesy didn't just do the same when they all knew it was coming to an end.

Someone pointed out that story was given to The Sun in the week after the Minaj live, and now here’s Jesy bringing it up again. It’s almost like it’s deflection and another way of ignoring the actual issues.

Watched it all. My thoughts are below:

Zion comes across really well. He surprised me the most.
Jesy is still a professional victim.
It's obviously perrie who wanted to leave.
She says one of the girls wanted to leave and she didn't respond in the best way but then says when she wanted to leave she was not supported. Can't have it both ways jesy.
Her mum is quick to blame the other girls but actually them asking for a therapist to be in the same room after jest clearly struggled with mental health makes complete sense. They are not equipped to handle conversations about OD etc.
She has clearly been through a lot but frankly should have left year before she did. But her family (brother) pressured her to stay to earn money. She said this on a podcast.
It's really sad to realise their friendship ended that way.
I would feel completely blindsided if lawyers were suddenly involved out of nowhere. These are supposedly her sisters who now will feel threatened. How could she have expected a different reaction? 😳
I see the blackfishing got completely glossed over as if that had nothing to do with it.
I feel like the girls are going to be pissed she is giving away all these secrets of the final your etc
Also makes no sense she returned to music after struggling for so long.

From what I’ve seen so far I’ve misjudged Zion. He comes across absolutely lovely and supportive.. It must of been a lot for him to deal with too and people have assumed a lot about him since they’ve broken up (me admittedly too). He looked so overwhelmed and like the world was on his shoulders when he went to see his mum. When he says he has to keep a brave face on for Jesy and be positive 24/7 as he didn’t want to worry her. You could also feel the pressure when he was going to see his mum for an hour and Jesy rang him saying she wanted him to come back and didn’t want to be there without him. Very evident he seemed to be present all the time. It did make me think imagine how some mum’s cope in that situation when their partners still have to work full time and can’t keep them company in hospital everyday.

I said it before, but I judged Zion up until I saw he was in the hospital with Jesy while still studying for his final year of his degree, and also running marathons raising money for charity 🥲

I’m 2 episodes in it’s a pity her and Zion havent worked out as they seemed really good together. Though the situation with the twins would be very hard on any relationship. It’s good we seen more of Zion tbh and his personality because I think there is/was a lot of misconceptions about him, he seems like a lovely guy, it’s defiantly shown him in a better light anyway

See I didn’t even know he was doing a degree through all this too.. he seems good as gold. I can’t imagine him just up and leaving deciding not to be there. There must be more to it.

The illness they have comes out in children only if both parents carry the faulty gene. So both Zion and Jesy are carriers of the gene and it’s just bad luck they got together when they both had the faulty genes.

If my maths is right, there is a 25% chance any future children will have SMA 1, a 50% chance they will be carriers and only a 25% chance they would be entirely unaffected.

Going forwards they would either be able to have IVF and selectively screen embryos for affected ones or they could have natural pregnancies and genetic screening whilst pregnant so they could manage any further affected foetuses by abortion, if they chose.

Understandably, quite a few couples choose to split up and not risk having any further children together rather than going through all that.

Zion’s reaction when he was filming himself being told the babies were born was SO cute

Finished all the episodes now, I can't lie, I really like Jesy and I think she looks great. I hope she starts to catch some kind of break from the most terrible twists of fate she has dealt with and I hope the twins will defeat all the odds in all the ways she believes they will.

Wasn’t it around this time as well that Perrie suffered one of her losses? I can’t remember if it was the early or late loss but it’s just so distasteful of Jesy.
