I think anyone who’s had a person like Jesy in their life eventually feels resentful for the way they were manipulated, even if they didn’t realise it at the time.

I bet everyone walked on eggshells around her, fearful of the next bad mood or flounce; constantly having to offer comfort or reassurance, bending backwards to make things OK for her, at the expense of their own needs. Poor Jesy, it’s not her fault, she doesn’t mean to, she really struggles with her mental health…

It’s toxic AF. Emotional vampires.

The constant narrative that Jesy was bullied and tormented for the way she looks is enough to make you think she was like the Elephant Man or something. And I don’t deny that she copped a lot of flak for being “fat” or “ugly”, but by the same token, she doesn’t come across like a woman who doesn’t love her own reflection 🤷‍♀️

When she says it’s her turn to tell her side of the story, does anyone actually feel like any of the other three girls have told theirs?

The only thing I really remember is the group interview where they said they approached her as a group about the black fishing, and then Jade telling Louis Theroux about how much she sobbed in her car.

I’d love to have been in the LM group chat in the past week.

She’s one of those typical people who thinks the world revolves around them. She expects everyone to be there for her when needed and to be mindful of how she feels but for some reason doesn’t give the same kindness back to others. Especially if she thinks she’s got her own problems to worry about so it’s justified.

She had never even hoovered or did her own laundry before they moved to Cornwall?? At 34?!! Her mother has done her absolutely no favours!

Can’t wait for her episode about cultural appropriation. Take responsibility or get cancelled 🤣

bet nothing is said
Imagine the things that could be mentioned that will be completely ignored.. The ‘jingle bell ball are ya ready?’ viral moment 🤣 . The fact that for her first single she painted herself brown for the video and spent a stupid amount of money to have someone appear in it who is now in prison for sex trafficking crimes 💀 the most entertaining things will not be mentioned. She will really try and act like she’s living a peaceful life and in love when they’re only together because she found out she was pregnant. She’s always said she didn’t want kids.. She now has two with a guy she was broken up with 🙃 the whole show is gonna be a ‘feel sorry for me’ vibe.

This is heartbreaking. I was wondering why she had gone quiet on the socials. Never imagined something like this. Heartbroken for them 😞

I never get the media’s obsession with keeping bands in touch and wanted all of them to remain besties. Like do any normal people keep in touch with everyone they’ve ever worked with. Also if someone was horrible to me and I healed and moved on. A tragedy or sadness in their life wouldn’t pull me back to them.

Please don’t misunderstand me, I’m of course sure she’s absolutely devastated her babies are so poorly etc but she seems to be revelling in another reason to be in the spotlight. She’s not relatable at all with the full glam and constantly talk about the other girls. She’s her own worst enemy and just can’t keep her gob shut. She must be draining to be around!
Yes, I agree but didn't know how to word it!

Her phone is ringing again, her agent loves her again, she's suddenly getting all positive attention. All past behaviour now appears cancelled out.
I get the feeling being 'popular' again is a sort of distraction from her reality. Unfortunately I don't think she'll want to let her new found fame go and I don't think these babies will be afforded much privacy in the years to come.

...Has she even actually apologised to them though? Its alright saying 'we probably see things differently now' but I think if she's banking on a reunion (which I think she will want eventually, as I can't see her solo career going anywhere now), then she has to actually take accountability for some of the problematic things she did.

I have a lot of empathy for Perri.

A family member of mine is a bit like Jesy and as much as it feels mean to say, these personalities are so exhausting to be around. It really can drain the life from you.

I'm glad I'm not in contact with them any more, sometimes you do have to get away and stay away.

Black women are statistically most likely to have twins of any other racial/ethnic group (though the data I saw on a quick Google was for the US, not sure if it's different in the UK, Caribbean, Africa, etc.) Not sure about how paternity impacts that though.
Ahh that explains why Jesy is having twins then. She is black after all. 😆

Neither appear to have updated... but I'm pretty sure that you're told to bed rest after any kind of fetal surgery? Hopefully she's being well looked after. I wouldn't wish a late pregnancy loss on anyone having been through it myself :(

I’m watching it now - I don’t think her mum is actually helpful for her. Like when the doctor is telling that they may not survive and she was trying to be strong with Zion and her mums in the background absolutely sobbing while her sister is trying to like calm her. She mollycoddles her wayyyy too much you can tell her mums internal panic makes her worse.

Edit: Zions mum was talking to him in such a positive way and not panicked all the time worried. Just why do you feel this way, let’s talk about it - let’s be strong while her mum is worried too much about how Jesy will react to x y z

All these X Factor kids feel like the world owes them something because the were on a tv show. They haven’t grafted to get record deals the way many artists would. It leaves them in awkward positions in the music industry, even if they’re super talented there’s a bias against them. Some people don’t make it. Move on or go back to college. They’re all young enough. I’m so bored of all these influencers and Z list celebs getting shows. It’s so lazy. I don’t care what they’re doing, between this attention seeker & borebag Molly Mae.
One of the worst things about X-Factor was how contestants were encouraged to cry about how awful having a 'normal' job was and to act like they'd die if they had to work retail or do construction or whatever. Jobs that millions do without complaint because that's the way of life. I think it gave that generation of youngsters who grew up watching the show a real complex about 'regular' jobs and how they 'deserved more'.

It wound me up so much at the time and still does.

I do feel for Jesy with her babies and their situation but I just have to ask...

How many documentaries does one person need? She must be setting a record, along with KP.

She's permanently stuck in teenager mode, enabled by Mum. She dresses like a teenager and acts like one.

I don't know how on earth she's coping with motherhood - but from the amount of free time she has to film herself I'd say she's got Mum living in and I wouldn't be surprised if there are nannies too. No woman with nails like that does much hands on baby care.
