Because I highly doubt her YT income pays for monthly high end vacations on top of a mortgage, property taxes, utilities, groceries/spending, plus a Porsche payment.

Or maybe I really suck at budgeting and math and should be going on multiple vacations a year with my single income of less than 50k a year while still paying all the bills by myself.

I really want to respond to her story and say “my fairytale would be for middle aged overly self important women not to brag like they’re doing it all themselves when the reality is that they have a spouse with a high end income paying the bills while you tit money on fugly handbags and spa treatments on your monthly cruises.”

Extremely. And very disingenuous.

Like newsflash you narcissistic bleep, most of us make our own money and spend our own money. We’re just using it for mortgage payments, monthly expenses, saving for retirement, saving for one holiday a year (or every two), etc. Not having all monthly expenses covered by our husband and then spending some of his money plus what we grift for on social media on 10 vacations a year plus merino wool clothing, multiple suitcases, and discounted Gucci bags.

She can kid herself as much as she likes, that’s exactly what it comes down to. And I was just looking at a couple of her IG posts. The sheep sound as up themselves and insufferable as she does. There’s one where she’s going on about staying at home because she’s feeling unwell, blah blah blah. Cue a bunch of snivelling narcs telling the world how they soldier on at their WFH jobs even when they’re sick (boo hoo) and how they have to FORCE themselves to self-care. Hag face then comes back in to pat them on the back. Seriously. Just go duck yourselves, the lot of you.

I’m thankful for the option to WFH with my job in case of an IBS flare-up but that’s nothing to brag about when you’re running to the bathroom. Lol Keeping my fingers crossed that my gut stays put while I’m in the office for training for my new role the next few months.

I don’t understand the constant whining about self care from these morons. They’re not teaching 30 brats everyday or changing adult diapers. I praise my friends working on the frontlines in education and healthcare everyday because I know I couldn’t do it.

Maybe I'm just super skeptical but something about getting the bee Gucci bag doesn't seem right to me. If we're to believe her, she had her eye on this exact design for a while and had been looking at them online, thinking it over. Then on a whim she decides to go into a strip mall consignment store only a few miles from where she lives and lo and behold they have it right there. A very unique design Gucci bag just sitting there waiting for Jen to pop in and buy it. And the cherry on top? This all just happened to take place on the very same day she hit 40k subscribers. I mean what are the chances.

I don't know what the real story is (worked with the store to source it at a discounted price for documenting it on her channel??) but something feels off.

I worked from home for years and saw it as the privilege that it is. And no, I never took a sick day in all of the years that I did it because being fortunate not to have any truly debilitating ailments I was able to carry on, even in a reduced capacity. But her lot seem to be saying IM SICK AND BEING AT HOME ISNT ENOUGH I NEEEEEED TOOO SEEEELF CAAAAARE! Bore off.

Totally hear you with the gastric issues. It’s incredibly difficult.

Posted a pic on her IG bragging that her new Away suitcase and Tumi backpack fit in the front trunk of Scotty’s Porsche. You know, she’s really quite unlikeable. She’s got that tries too hard to brag about her luxury purchases vibe going on vs the luxury YTbers I watch who just unbox nice bags and do it because they enjoy fashion and luxury and when they’re driving around in a high end car or suv it’s just a normal thing, not some sort of flex.
