Thank you for taking one for all of us because I refuse to google that monstrosity and have it popping up in my luxury searches going forward. $2200 USD on TheRealReal when she could buy a brand new mini or small Horsebit or Jackie for about $3000.

I don’t know which is worse… this or her Tori Birch and Longchamp dept store purses that she tries to brag are designer. Yes, everyone loves Longchamp but it’s not Gucci, Dior, Fendi, YSL, Chanel, LV or Hermes.

What next? She'll appear on camera in a gaudy Fendi tracksuit with massive logos head to toe! She's not even making any sense now. Her videos contradict each other, her actions contradict her words (closing channels and making Patreon cheaper while spending like she got 6 months to live).

If I saw those 2 coming out of the sportscar, Porsche baseball caps on, gaudy Gucci bag on the arm, probably a DVC membership sticker on display I'd think 'who had the affair' :ROFLMAO: She used to talk a good game but now she's turning into the "weird American" stereotype. Some Palo workers are about to be filmed and shouted at and patronised while we waves that bag around at them and Adam Hattan screeches.

When I started watching her, she came across as a down to earth suburban housewife with advice on DVC and packing for trips. But now she is all about frequent vacations and equally frequent shallow luxury purchases. That’s not how she used to present herself at all. Her travel vlogs don’t even have value as reviews or overviews of interesting places where she goes, they’re just an excuse to show her living her best life in Greece or DCL. She went to Pompei and only showed 30 seconds of it. Dave Kay actually does a better job showing the sights than she does.

I don’t understand why they have so much money now, did Scotty get a raise? She can’t be making that much from youtube and her “consulting”. Why you’d pay someone with less than 40k subs (and she just crossed this milestone) to mentor you doesn’t make sense.

Just found this thread, and thought I would share a story. I used to watch her stuff and found it quite good, especially when discussing DVC and all the rules, exceptions, and intricacies. She was excellent in explaining and educating. Enough so that I joined her Patreon. About a year or so ago (not sure about the timeline), she basically doxed one of her Patrons because they left and told her why, which I am sure they thought was a confidential response.

When you leave a Patreon account, the app will ask for feedback and why. This person said it was because they did not receive the perks or benefits they were promised, which is understandable. She made a post to Patreon saying all of this and claiming that it wasn't sustainable for her to actually send out the promised things and blah blah blah. It was incredibly tacky and of course, her stans jumped in and said that person was a cry baby and good riddance, and all sorts of mean things...just because they didn't get what they paid for. Jen went from self-defense to attack mode.

And the tit of it was that no one needed to know. No one would have known what an anonymous person said in privacy, except for Jen blabbing it. It just really seemed like a hatchet job designed for her ego. I didn't like it and left soon after. I did not give a reason other than financial, which seemed innocent enough.

I always felt bad that I didn't speak up on the "exit" questions and say what I really thought, but I'm not sure that Patreon does any type of stats or analytics on the responses.

That's really crappy. I don't understand justifying someone not delivering what they'd promised to deliver? I suppose she must be one of the Joel Osteen wealth religious people. Jeez. I'm stunned and yet kind of not at this.

I also doubt patreon cares as long as they're making their money.

That is social media in a nutshell, just change what the specific items are.

These are my thoughts as well. She wasn't exactly frugal or poor, but it was more about quality products that would last but also not completely break the bank. I found value in the videos because they were informative, but now it is all ego and just watching her fawn over herself and bragging about spending a lot of money.

The lack of effort is obvious compared to how she used to run the channels. Now it comes across as a total grift so she can do some tax write-offs with little to no effort. I didn't use to think that about her.

I have been watching her for a couple of years and thought the same.. Regular mom of almost adult boys (I could relate), but now she is over the top with her travels and spending.
The recent influx of cash could have come from the recent Delta Employee profit share. I have family that work for the company and they received a nice chunk of change. I am not sure how much the pilots receive, but might be just enough for a Porsche (assuming the dealership tossed the hat in for the wife).
Why they wouldn't have paid down on their home is weird, but to each their own.

I had to bail for this reason. Wasn't watching for the Greece Era. I'm good to not spend my time watching people ask for patrons & go on a 2 week pleasure cruise.

How very Christian of her to be so catty and two faced to a customer! I think that’s the big grift with Patreon. All these vloggers promise all this tit if you pay them and then don’t deliver. I remember reading some drama about the Lodge Guys taking advantage of some older woman was more vulnerable mentally who was paying top tier beyond her means. She tried to cancel or lower her tier and they pressured her to stay then the adult son or daughter found out, tried to help and I think there were some veiled threats or nasty comments made. It really rubs me the wrong way and come off as shady multi level marketing type crap.

Thankfully I’m a jaded and sceptical middle aged witch who doesn’t had over money to strangers for duck all. I paid $15-20 for a Tokyo Disney e guide book from TDR Explorer and a tshirt from the merch sold by another Japan vlogger whose videos I really enjoyed that really helped me plan my trip to Japan. I loved the design on the tshirt and I think that was $20-25.:That makes way more sense to me than Patreon.

WOW! Patreon is such a scam most of the time. Unfortunately, Patreon does not care if there are issues with follow through or lack of services offered at the different tiers. As long as they get the money, they are happy.

No one forced her to set the parameters of her own tiers. How dare someone expect what is advertised for the price they are paying.

I don't understand the blind following of these people. I can like someone AND also expect that they provide the service offered for the price they established. I am sure that if she purchased that hideous purse at the advertised price but the clerk removed parts of it, she would have a problem with it. These people are delusional and it doesn't help that they are not held to the fire. Or if she purchased those $2000 arm chairs that she did recently and they arrived without cushions or the arms, she would lose her mind and we would be inundated with social media rants for days.

With this type of thinking, she also should not be unhappy with Virgin Voyages. She paid for the room and got the room. She can't POSSIBLY expect them to not have some issues at times. And she shouldn't expect a refund. Right? I can't stand the hypocrisy.

this is so sneaky of her. How did she even find out what feedback they’d left? I’ve done a few of those “exit surveys” on Patreon and they always say they’ll keep it confidential!

Who knows, maybe the disappointed person sent her a message directly. Either way, just as poor taste as her bag.

They can definitely see them. Before Pete imploded over at The Dis Unplugged they had a healthy Patreon following where they had an after show every week. Craig (the show’s producer) would often mention looking at the reasons people left and the comments to get context on how they could improve.

Of course, much like Jen, Pete was out of his mind spending on concierge cruises, jewels, DVC and people were sick of it so the show was beyond saving but I remember mentally noting that they could see the feedback and hoping Craig kept that away from Pete as Pete was totally the type of call people out by name!

I didn’t think Jen would do that…..although now that I know, it’s not so out of character. She’s def spoken about Patreons in ways that rubbed me wrong. I recall her saying if you guys didn’t support me I wouldn’t bother sharing videos from my cruise. Like biotch don’t bother then 😂

Maybe they see the comments but the person’s name isn’t associated with the comment so is therefore “anonymous“. But if you only get one leaver in a month and one comment then you don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes…
Either way what an absolute nasty bleeping witch she is to pull that number. Not surprised though, it’s written all over her face.

Ah yes! That’s it. She saw the comment then checked who had left and put it together. That’s even worse actually because it’s not an impulsive reaction to seeing Joe said X. It’s seeing the comment and hunting down the person. The ego on these vloggers is insane.
