When I started watching her, she came across as a down to earth suburban housewife with advice on DVC and packing for trips. But now she is all about frequent vacations and equally frequent shallow luxury purchases. That’s not how she used to present herself at all. Her travel vlogs don’t even have value as reviews or overviews of interesting places where she goes, they’re just an excuse to show her living her best life in Greece or DCL. She went to Pompei and only showed 30 seconds of it. Dave Kay actually does a better job showing the sights than she does.

I don’t understand why they have so much money now, did Scotty get a raise? She can’t be making that much from youtube and her “consulting”. Why you’d pay someone with less than 40k subs (and she just crossed this milestone) to mentor you doesn’t make sense.

Started the video to hear her going on about how she’s stepping back from buying stuff, jumped forward because I can’t bear to listen to her and she’s going on about $70 Joe Malone candles and buying a huge JM body lotion because “it’s what rich people smell like”. She really is hideous.

Care to share why?
I would say I valued her videos back in 2020ish when I bought DVC and found her videos as I was doing DVC research before purchasing. And I never mind throwing a few bucks at a content creator that I actually value or that has provided me something of value. But lately especially after downsizing to one channel I'm just not finding value in the content being posted, even if the only Patreon tier is $5/month now. Everything just seems like a brag these days or just repetitive information, rather than informative content.
---
To clarify about the cruise, the way she described it was that it was quite literally a gift, and they actually would have to pay her if they wanted say, 5 YouTube videos, 10 instagram posts, 3 instagram stories every day, etc... Could be just a France thing since she was only in France. She also did say that Adam let her know that information and that's why Viking was being so casual...but maybe something to take with a grain of salt, lol.

But either way that's the logic behind it and she said she would still likely be posting while she was there and then was debating if she would release multiple videos or just 1 or 2 depending on the vibe when she got on the ship. I guess we'll see.

Jen went from being likable and down to earth to being very unlikeable and pompous. Nobody wants to watch a privileged housewife unless it’s on Bravo lol

Jesus, she's so disgusting. So blatant about the "pay me to drink and vacation" I can't believe it. I wonder if she started going off so much her husband said she needed to offset the costs, but she's getting free/discounted airfare, so that's all wine budget I guess.

Why is she always so snippy? Why not “I asked Scott to take my picture in the backyard”? Why is she always trying to come off as some sort of badass?

Just found this thread, and thought I would share a story. I used to watch her stuff and found it quite good, especially when discussing DVC and all the rules, exceptions, and intricacies. She was excellent in explaining and educating. Enough so that I joined her Patreon. About a year or so ago (not sure about the timeline), she basically doxed one of her Patrons because they left and told her why, which I am sure they thought was a confidential response.

When you leave a Patreon account, the app will ask for feedback and why. This person said it was because they did not receive the perks or benefits they were promised, which is understandable. She made a post to Patreon saying all of this and claiming that it wasn't sustainable for her to actually send out the promised things and blah blah blah. It was incredibly tacky and of course, her stans jumped in and said that person was a cry baby and good riddance, and all sorts of mean things...just because they didn't get what they paid for. Jen went from self-defense to attack mode.

And the shit of it was that no one needed to know. No one would have known what an anonymous person said in privacy, except for Jen blabbing it. It just really seemed like a hatchet job designed for her ego. I didn't like it and left soon after. I did not give a reason other than financial, which seemed innocent enough.

I always felt bad that I didn't speak up on the "exit" questions and say what I really thought, but I'm not sure that Patreon does any type of stats or analytics on the responses.
How very Christian of her to be so catty and two faced to a customer! I think that’s the big grift with Patreon. All these vloggers promise all this shit if you pay them and then don’t deliver. I remember reading some drama about the Lodge Guys taking advantage of some older woman was more vulnerable mentally who was paying top tier beyond her means. She tried to cancel or lower her tier and they pressured her to stay then the adult son or daughter found out, tried to help and I think there were some veiled threats or nasty comments made. It really rubs me the wrong way and come off as shady multi level marketing type crap.

Thankfully I’m a jaded and sceptical middle aged bitch who doesn’t had over money to strangers for fuck all. I paid $15-20 for a Tokyo Disney e guide book from TDR Explorer and a tshirt from the merch sold by another Japan vlogger whose videos I really enjoyed that really helped me plan my trip to Japan. I loved the design on the tshirt and I think that was $20-25.:That makes way more sense to me than Patreon.

Defensive isn’t she?
Extremely. And very disingenuous.

Like newsflash you narcissistic cunt, most of us make our own money and spend our own money. We’re just using it for mortgage payments, monthly expenses, saving for retirement, saving for one holiday a year (or every two), etc. Not having all monthly expenses covered by our husband and then spending some of his money plus what we grift for on social media on 10 vacations a year plus merino wool clothing, multiple suitcases, and discounted Gucci bags.

Now maybe I’m misunderstanding the definition of side hustle but… it’s not a side hustle if it’s a part-time or full time besides being a stay at home mum. A side hustle is when you have a part time gig in addition to a full time paying job no? And yes, I get that motherhood is a job but you don’t get paid except in shit and puke and occasional hugs. Lol

She’s just realizing this now?! She does all these packing and death purge videos and hasn’t realized her entire wardrobe is blue, white/beige, and stripes?! 🤣
