Like I say, I don't want to go off tangent. The JS rumours were known at the Beeb, if you want to believe that my dad's wife knew people who worked there (even in Scotland) who joked about his true nature decades ago - whether people genuinely did know and had proof he was a criminal is another thing. Jerry Sadowitz, Popbitch and b3ta infamously called him a pedalo and necrophiliac when Savile was alive. It was 'workplace banter' but most celebrities have weird rumours circling around them and those lower down in the workplace pecking order treated it as that. I know when I heard Sadowitz I assumed it was too implausible to be true.

Whether the RL knew and actively encouraged Savile is getting a bit too CT for me and CTs like to lord it over people with their 'superior knowledge' bordering on paranoia, so I won't go there.

Take it to the Savile thread. And you can't make statements like that unless you elaborate. If you read it somewhere or saw Youtube videos or blog posts, cite your sources. I get heartily sick of the CT rumours, a lot of it is very negative, damaging and the big names all have their own agenda. People on the conspiracy theory circuit are looking to make money, just like the QAnon lot, and prey on vulnerable people.

I'm only interested in truth. As it involves the Royal Family, we likely will never know till they cark it and documents are released decades later.

If you're the type who judges a stranger's character from a few tame Tattle posts and gives vague replies, then, I'll make my own conclusions about your objectivity. I've read and seen a lot about Jimmy Savile (I have the "In Plain Sight" Dan Davies' ebook in my phone, for example).

It's because Tattlers tend not to like discourse about different people on the wrong thread, or off-topic subjects. We'll have to agree to disagree, I didn't say anthing about you until you went on the attack. Don't think we would agree on the wider subject, anyway, we seem very different personalities!

The CT / QAnon angle is a bugbear for me, and I've mentioned why on other threads.

The point I was trying to make is that we are still no nearer the truth regarding who Epstein was supplying 'services' to.

He was obviously up to something (including financial dodgy dealing) and probably supplying his 'friends' with young women on request. I'm certainly not denying that but I do think the conspiracy theories online have gone way overboard with this idea that all these wealthy elite people are part of a satanic club of pedalos feasting on adrenochrome.

I find it hard to believe that Stephen Hawking was up for an orgy on Epstein's Island. I think many wealthy people associated with Epstein but it doesn't necessarily prove that they were all taking advantage of young women. It seems very odd to me that nobody else has faced any public enquiry over this other than that arse Prince Andrew..

I agree - it’s the same names being mentioned - nothing new. And from what I’ve read nothing concrete enough to get a conviction.

Not concrete enough to get a conviction doesn't mean much when it comes down to one person's word against another, involving something that happened behind closed doors.

I agree the conspiracy theorists are going a little overboard, but I do think it interesting how many celebs on that list are ones with complicated/non-standard private lives, and I include CB and ldC on that.

With regards to SH, a male friend of mine was a PhD student of his and laughs about how they always had to keep an eye on the female undergrads as SH seemed to always be having 'muscle spasms' (ie groping them) when he was next to them. It was always blamed on his MND...

To be honest, we all knew the rumours about Prince Andrew before Epstein was jailed though I'd agree the media went very softly-softly on the subject years before and it all faded away. I'm glad Andrew is being named and shamed but everyone involved in the trafficking of these girls and women should be under the same scrutiny.

There's others saying that they feel Ghislaine is also being used as a 'scapegoat' but she deserves all she gets, imo. She knew what she was getting into and actively participated.

Yes, But He like Andrew was a relative and could be argued against them knowing ( I know they knew but for the sake of those who have no idea) but Savile is a huge red flag against the innocence of the royals and government. No way they didn't know.

The Queen showed us her position when she let Andrew escort her to her seat at Philip's memorial. She could have chosen any one of her children, or grandchildren but chose him, so a big up yours to the British public.

I think Andrew is guilty, but has also been thrown to the wolves slightly by the rest of the Epstein associates, who probably share agents/publicists etc behind the scenes - like a row of dominoes, if one falls they all go down, so they have all gone to the mattresses. It just shows Andrew's stupidity.

I think it's interesting too that Diaz is the only one who has immediately issued a strong statement saying she never knew Epstein, met him, was in the same place as him etc. So I can believe her being mentioned was incidental, but as for the rest....they clearly do know him. Eugh.
