For anyone wondering, her baby fell asleep in the car on the drive to Sainsburys. That's it. That's the context behind the clickbait.

I actually don't think she was whiny at all honestly, I've seen people much more whiny than her with a much more straightforward birth and none of the history.
I mean, imo people can whine as much as they want while giving birth, it's not something I think you should judge particularly.
But she did really well considering.
Nick was a great birthing partner. Its really clear they do love each other a lot. Even at the height of her labour she was still saying she loves him all the time, and I thought it was so telling that even in the moments after the baby was born, Nick consistently asked Jasmine if she was okay too. I'm happy for them.

I loved watching her new vlog. So real and raw the first few weeks. No one talks about breastfeeding depression either, it’s good she carried on but no mum should feel the pressure to.

I really feel for her that she didn't get her perfect birth as you could see the trauma when she was panicking something was wrong, but considering basically all pain relief failed her she did so well.

she should hire Nick out as a birthing partner he was amazing with her, as were the midwives.

Oh bless her. To be honest I’m sobbing after watching that. I don’t think she was being whiny at all, especially given that the pain relief failed! It must have been frightening and confusing for her at times if her body wasn’t reacting well to the drugs.

I think she did amazingly considering her whole birth plan - although ‘loose’ - went completely out of the window. The main thing is that he arrived safely and she is okay.

Nick was wonderfully supportive, expressing so much love and compassion and all of his words of reassurance and encouragement. After baby arrived there’s a moment where he says behind the camera “hello…oh my god” and you can just hear a moment of overwhelm in his voice like it’s suddenly hit him. 🥹

I’m so pleased for them. I don’t generally do baby content as someone who is child-free, somewhat by choice although not totally. But with Jas I was keen to know that it had all gone okay as I’ve watched her since she first started YT.

I'm really sad that I can't get up to speed with all her vids but I've had to block her for now as I've recently lost my baby and can't bear watching pregnancy related things, and she kept popping up, so I keep checking here to see if I've missed anything haha 😅

I actually don’t see an issue with her acting like it’s her first pregnancy, it was only last Jan I believe a year ago. Clearly her pregnancies were very wanted, the trauma of losing a baby, one she shared online will haunt her forever the questions etc. I can see she has plenty of new viewers and this is probably why she’s acting this way, so she doesn’t have to address it again. Of course their son is no doubt spoken about privately, and she wants to grieve him privately. She doesn’t need to justify anything, and unless you have been in her situation you can’t really understand. I did see a comment she made about she’s nearly ready to film in real time, I can see why she waited and she may address it then she may not, but she doesn’t have to.

I just saw she posted a hospital bag video a few days ago, who packs a hair dryer in their hospital bags 🤣
When you’ve just had a baby the last thing you’re concerned about is how dry your hair is 😂😂😂

Im honestly surprised she’s going to try I unmedicated and a water birth? She doesn’t really strike me as someone that could handle the pain of labour

I'm new to her (from seeing a link on another thread) - she has gone through hell with her stillbirth and I cried for her. I picked up some odd bits every time she went for a scan - a couple of times she was told 'something wasn't quite right'. I was 30 when I had my first born and the radiologist didn't say 'something isn't quite right' - they explained at that scan that they thought my daughter had Down's syndrome. I was booked in for more scans and tests - all came back negative. Did Jasmin have a stillbirth or did she have to be induced due the baby having a low chance of survival ? It's not been made clear.... I was thinking the latter with the 'something not quite right' comments. It would help others if one day in the future, she is able to talk through what happened to help other women in the same situation. We treat still birth as a taboo topic. I hope her and Nick get their rainbow baby one day .....
She didn't go into any detail about what happened.
Maybe she will in time, who knows. I can imagine it's quite raw for them at the moment as its only been a few months.

I did notice she's removed both the pregnancy and loss post from her Instagram

I don’t see that there’s any need for her to bring the loss of their previous baby into her current pregnancy. They are two separate things entirely and I don’t think anyone should be expecting her to address it / post about it again. When it happened, she addressed it and after some time she removed the posts which is her choice. I’m sure they both want to keep their mental state as positive as they can and channel their energy into the pregnancy and hoping for the best. Obviously everyone will have their own opinions on that, that’s why we’re here on Tattle. 😂

It definitely leaves a bad taste in my mouth though, that she is using captions like ‘first time baby shopping’ which is surely untrue - I can’t remember if she posted about baby shopping previously? I assume she is doing it for the algorithm / views. It’s understandable to not want to address baby loss again publicly, but it’s another thing entirely to actively make it sound like it’s her first pregnancy. There’s no need to say ‘first time’. Unless they really hadn’t done any shopping for the baby last time? I remember in the video she shared she did seem to have concerns that something wasn’t right from quite early on, so maybe they didn’t get anything.

It’s also not the first time that she has drummed up speculation by going quiet. She posted something quite a while ago about a ‘solo trip’ iirc and everyone was concerned that she and Nick had split. Then she came back like ‘omg I didn’t mean to worry you all!😇 It was very obvious. She’s going to play the games to increase engagement just like anyone else.

It’s surprising how quickly you can go off a person.
Agree .... I quite liked her but then you find out she's very calculating, letting her followers wonder where she's gone and suddenly she's back! Very false, but there again aren't a lot of these 'influencers'.

The ending of the vlog was super abrupt but overall it was interesting to see how much she’s included so far. Bless her having such a long labour!

Tbh, when she was first doing vlogs etc after their loss I was surprised she was carrying on like it never happened. But on reflection, if she is making these videos for them and for the baby when they are older, I think it’s perfectly reasonable that she might not want to mention the trauma. I’m sure she and Nick have been working through it privately and she obviously decided she doesn’t want to talk about it publicly any more.

She was filming whilst labouring. Why do people expect her to be mentioning her previous loss - especially in those moments??

She randomly just posted a tiktok about ttc. So weird. Silence for months and then a random tiktok.
Soft launch in to a pregnancy announcement / Kylie Jenner style baby announcement?

I feel like with what happened last time she wouldn’t want to put her journey on the World Wide Web until she was sure sure sure there was no complications.

She’s extremely whiney, she has no idea what’s going to hit her. A hairdryer?!! What planet is she on!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Please tell me she’s packed fairy lights and whale sounds on a CD for the birth too. One mum I watch, packed books and board games for the labour 🤣…..bless them 😇

This has been playing on my mind since she announced it, I’m pregnant with my first and overly anxious. It’s just so bloody cruel, my heart breaks for them both.

The birth vlog was so emotional. It's just so REAL! Not like other youtubers where they just show the 'good' parts.. social media is so toxic. Jasmine did so so well and I know how it feels to have a birth plan thrown out the window.. the lack of control is terrifying, and when she was asking if baby was still OK it broke my heart considering what she's gone through before. I'm so happy for them both, they will be amazing parents. Nick was incredible! Just lovely.
Also it'll be interesting to see how things pan out as baby gets older... because Soph has said recently she might not even be sharing her baby's name and her content isn't going to feature baby. I totally respect this, and tbh if Jasmine wasn't going to share another baby post again, that'd be fine. Her viewers will just be so happy she finally got her little baby, and she can go back to her usual videos when she feels ready to.

Her latest tiktok
This is the kind of scenario I didn’t want to mention when people were going on about how she should have updated her followers.

Under no circumstance should anyone be expected to make a post, but especially if her labour and delivery was traumatic it makes absolute sense that she probably needed time to come to terms with what happened and to start healing physically and mentally and start bonding with her child.

Childbirth can be brutal, maybe not everyone grasps the reality of that and all the things that can go wrong, especially her younger followers. As if a social media post should be someone’s top priority after they’ve had a baby. Honestly baffles me.

I’m so glad they are both okay. He looks such a cutie! All that dark hair. Very happy for her and Nick. 🥰

This is the point I was trying to make. She doesn't have to address her loss, it's the wording of it being her first for everything. She can post these videos without wording them that way and without also addressing her first baby.

The speculation things is also true. She did it before with several of her click bait title on her videos making it sound like her and Nick had broken up. I'm sure she did a whole video implying that was the case and then went silent on everything just to then weeks later post a "Don't worry guys"

I’ve just watched her 40 hours in labour vlog, happy she had a healthy baby and all went as well as a birth can be but just felt slighty sad she made it all sound like it was her first pregnancy her first labour, where she says she wanted to a be a mum since she was 12 and now it’s happening, it’s like her first son just can’t be mentioned. I realise it’s a touchy subject, but she gave birth to him he made her a mum.
If she never wants to talk about that time in her life online, that is fine. I imagine they have spoken privately but she doesn’t need to share her trauma with anyone.
