I think she’s toured too soon after the last tour. It doesn’t feel as special this time around. I haven’t gone but I went last time and was really excited.
Agree - as a casual listener it feels like this the same tour - but less Cowboy hats and more Blue Ivy danceathons.

I get where you’re coming from, they’ve let/made her grow up too fast, she dresses like a grown woman and they have her out performing instead of enjoying a childhood(much like Beyoncé’s childhood) but having seen her with Rumi I feel she could end up in the role of the sensible older sister/protector always looking out for the twins. Older siblings often end up cast in the role of another parent(I married one!).

There were barely any free seats and the floor was packed. I’ve got photos from when I first sat down that make it look like it didn’t sell out because it was early 🙄

Watching the live stream and it's like 3 songs then loads of videos.
I'm a very casual listener and only really know her first solo album, but can't say I'm overall impressed with what I'm watching.

I think the issue is none of the concerts sold out; ticket prices were significantly slashed and then tickets were actually given away for free through food banks. And that doesn't happen when you're at 80-90% capacity even - it happens when you have an embarrassingly low number of sales and you need to fill a very, very big space quickly.

I think it's great she's given tickets to good causes (even though it was done for the main purpose of bums in seats) - but I do disagree with the way she's gone about it; because her most loyal fans are the ones who have been shafted - paying £600-700 for a seat in the fan presale; which are then available for £140 the night before. I think it's a poor choice to have that crash in pricing; because it punishes the keenest and most loyal fans.

But she will need to start asking questions about the lack of natural sales; because something has gone wrong. Is it that she booked too large a venue for too many nights? Are people simply disinterested in Cowboy Carter? Is she simply a fading star and needs to accept it's time for smaller tours, venues, and more greatest hits to go on that nostalgia?

Is this the writer from the daily mail article?

It's 500 seats in a 60,000 stadium. How many do you think were given to food banks to get it to that level?

Country is a genre that doesn't do well over here. Her last tour at the same stadium sold out, and I'd bet her next tour does too

I don’t see her ever releasing the figures of how many ‘slashed price’ or free tickets were given out; what we do know is that thousands were available pre-concert for extremely reduced prices. That’s just Ticketmaster data. We’re in an era where concerts are expected, and do, sell out in minutes - I think it’s reasonable to ask why that didn’t happen here.

I think there’s two issues with pinning it on the album. Firstly country has done well here; I saw Garth Brooks in Dublin in Croke Park - that sold out five times, and that’s an 80,000 capacity stadium. Dolly, Shania, etc - all arena tours.

The second is that if it’s true, it shows Beyoncé isn’t a universally revered artist on MJ, Whitney etc level - but her popularity is indeed dependent on her latest record. I think she’s going to have to shake up the strategy somehow, either playing the popular hits, touring smaller/less or going back to the pop/dance that she does well with.

Where? Because I'm looking at Thursday's concert and I see 473 tickets available and the cheapest is £99. MJ is on a different planet, no one compares to him. Beyonce tours far more often and bigger venues than the likes of Whitney did

It's being blown out of proportion because she sold a couple of thousand short each night of 60,000 X 6. We'll see if they deem it a success by which venue she picks next time she's here but I'd bet she sticks to where she is

Would hardly call it rumbling on when it's on some nutjob's YouTube channel
Laurens point is that money/influence has meant mainstream channels are turning a blind eye, so where else would you see it? Lauren is credible.

I don't know anything really about this paternity claim. A quick look seems to suggest it has been thrown out of court at lower levels and the recent case was withdrawn? Is there any actual evidence?

I have looked at the lady's Instagram which doesn't really cry out credible. What makes you think she is a credible source? (For example this particular post was liked by 58 people and attracted 7 comments of which two were from her )

Photos of the mother and him together. Someone other than the mother's friend saying they hooked up? Something that would suggest he ever met the mother other than them just saying so. You know, evidence.
