With the way America is with guns, I can understand people not rushing to blam the 12-year-old. Indeed, I would ask why there was a gun anywhere near where a kid that young could access it... but I don't understand the US gun culture and never will.

I think there could be a psychological factor because he started grooming her when she was so young. Falling in love when you're 15 or thereabouts is so intense. Even without added factor of how he was able to make himself central to her work life, her money and who she hung around with, so it'd be easy for him to shape her mind.
She's an adult now and has the option to walk away, but she's meant to be seriously unintelligent, and personally I think she's too far down that road of murky celebrity to turn back. If she's the kind of person to know her husband is into drugs, grape, preying on children, and even being associated with the killings that went on around Diddy, but she stays with him and then has KIDS with him... she's very far gone.
