We were talking about funerals this afternoon at work (not much work gets done on a Saturday) and most of us want a direct cremation. The adverts for Pure Cremation and other companies claim to offer a package costing around 2k. Collection of body, cremation of body, delivery of ashes to family. Out of curiosity, I rang my mate who is a Bereavement Officer at the local hospital and she said independent undertakers will do a direct cremation for around £250. So that's going in my last will and testament - I want to be burned by the local undertakers and my ashes scattered on the beach. The money saved can go towards a big family piss-up party to remember me.

That’s the best idea. i can’t speak for Pure Cremation but the local co op funeral home here does a similar thing but what people don’t know is that theres two storage facilities in our county and your body goes to one of them. The nearest is 25 miles away and you’re bought back to the funeral home for every viewing Before going off to the crematorium they’ve got a bulk discount with, again it’s not the two nearest to us. The cheapest package doesn’t offer viewings for family and friends.

I know this because a friends relative went there for his funeral and his wife popped in the funeral home to go and see him and found all this out when they had to tell her his body wasn’t out the back like in other undertakers.

I know people are going to say it doesn’t matter because you’re dead but it’s a waste of petrol and time taking bodies backwards and forwards.

There wasn’t even a pathologist local in lincolnshire for husbands auntie's post mortem so she got taken to Nottingham hospital for one and bought back. I don’t agree with centralising things like this because it’s more people on the roads and emissions.

Agreed. That Lucy is 100% involved in drugs. She might not be the Pablo Escobar everyone is making out, but she's defo popping up to punt at festivals and such like.

Fair play to her, there's many more young ones doing the exact same thing, which funds their holidays or their summer hols "working" abroad. They don't go to Tenerife for 3 months of the summer and live of 4 euro an hour bar jobs.

The only thing that grinds me is how quick she fired a go fund me up.

Lucy set up a gfm because she’s not the sharpest knife in the drawer and is a product of the gen z, tik tok, only fans, love island, easy money generation. She didn’t even state what it was for in the beginning, it’s a sad sign of the times that’s all.

Guess we’ll find out, but if he took two knives and wasn’t just chatting tit like with the mystery ap/rolex, I think it would only be because he was off his face and paranoid. People talk a lot of nonsense and do crazy things when they’re off their box.

Separate note; Someone my sister worked with years ago recently set one up saying that she had broken both her feet (katie price style) and would never walk again. She had broken one foot, but was actually upto her eyeballs in debt with court cases coming out of her a and a custody thing going on. Anyway i think it raised all of a few hundred at the time because she has no pals, and yes, she is walking again after having the cast removed

Not being rude when i say this because i grew up on a council estate but the ones on the page sticking up for debbie and sharing an outpouring of love are the ones who

Live on council estates
Claim beenfits or are in low paid jobs
Have little or basic education
Have nothing better to do then sit around gossiping
Allow their kids to terrorise the local neighbourhood
Will donate money to gfm but feed their kids spaghetti on toast on a daily or put their vaping/drinking before food

I read a post they actually wrote and it said the dogs led them to near where Jay was but they had to take them back and rest them and the Spanish them followed on from where they left off and found him first. Wish I could find it. I'll try.

I'm just wondering if they are asking for money for another reason. This is obviously far fetched but I'm going to say it anyway.

Could they be asking for money for a private prosecution? Apparently there will be more information released next week. Are we going to find out that Jay didn't fall as a result of his own mistake? I'm just speculating but looking at the route he would've taken just to get to the track he took before the ravine I can't believe he didn't turn back. That road is windy and all uphill, it's a long long way to walk especially if you had no water.
If he had nothing to worry about but didn't want to bother his new mates at the airbnb he could've waited at one of the bus stops. He could have waited at one of the viewing points. He could also (if he were a little nervous) have waited at one of the track entrances and at any of these points his mates would have easily found him.

He was 100% running from something. Or he was taken there.

Jay's death is tragic and sad but the way people have put him on a pedestal and made him some sort of role model and inspiration is so weird. I've seen comments from people who had never met him saying they have had sleepless nights over him and haven't stopped crying since he was found. I just don't understand it

They’ve got to be taking the piss. How has he left a huge legacy for the world? If he hadn’t of gone missing and subsequently died. No one outside of Lancashire would have known he existed. I hope when they say their son has learnt a lot they mean not to do a Jay in life. And wander off pinged up in a foreign country.
