Jay Slater is a high profile funeral, especially locally.
It reminds me of the late Queen Elizabeth's funeral, the funeral director's 'sticker' in the window of hearse. We all knew the name (although, I am not implying that the funeral home did it for promotional purpose)
Of course the funeral directors are doing it for promotion to try and drum up more business. They rip people off with the the exorbitant prices they charge.
I've had to arrange quite a few funerals and they are getting away with daylight robbery.
I have always hated going to funerals. I find them traumatic, upsetting and an ordeal especially when it is a very close family member. I wanted a private funeral for my dad but had to abide by my mum's wishes. I hated every second of it.
I know I'm in the minority about this and I now avoid as many funerals as I can. I'm also sick of the utter hypocrisy at them of family and so called friends who turn up having never bothered with the deceased person while they are alive.
I'm leaving my body to medical science so they hopefully won't get a penny out of me
