Yeah, I recall reading not very long ago that's it's actually quite common for a coffin or remains to be returning from your vacation with you and you're just completely unawares!
I worked in aviation for years, its extremely common.

I can't get my head round why the country is acting like he's a martyr and a massive loss to the world. He was a young lad who took drugs and died. He's not been at war ffs, he does not deserve this level of attention or fawning over

It’s why they announce ‘souls on board’ - to account for the number of living people on board (passengers and crew) - helps emergency services should there be a not very nice situation.

If she's this close to getting him home I really think she needs to shut down the gfm. Loads of local businesses and others round the country have probably offered their services. Shell prob end up using alot having a massive party like cashley cain did.. it'll be a right circus

I think it's a bit late for an air ambulance. I doubt that an air ambulance would be used as it would be a waste of resources, especially if someone else were to need it.

Also, if it's had a decomposed body in it, it would need to be deep cleaned, which would take it out of service for a while.
I just meant the absurdity of getting Virgin to fly them back...it would be the next alternative suggested that they could get a private air ambulance. Failing that...I am waiting for both Elon Musk and Taylor Swift to get back to me, let's see who responds first

The public have gone mad! Why the duck keep donating! He’s been found and all this saint worshipping of who was essentially a scally with a chequered past, off his nut on drugs and made a ridiculous decision that cost him his life! I just don’t understand it! Every time I’ve seen Debs interviewed she makes a lot of noise crying but her eyes seem remarkably dry! Whilst I have some sympathy for her loosing her son at such a young age, there’s also a part of me that thinks you live by the sword, you die by the sword! Poor sod prob never stood a chance with a grifting cav of a Mother!

Im glad there’s sanity on here. Everyone has lost their minds over this. I feel for his mum obviously, no one should lose a child. However he was a violent thug who laughed in court a few months back. He took drugs and no one seemed surprised he was linked to a stolen watch. This forever 19 balls is ridiculous. The family should use the money to bring him home and donate the rest to victims of the type of violent crime this thug committed. They can pay for his own inevitable cav fest of a funeral

I bet Juliet thinks it’s £10 well spent to give her opinion. Surely £1 would’ve done it?
Does anyone know what Jay's mum does for work?
it was said she was a financial officer in a school. Not sure if that’s exactly what was said, but that’s the type of job. So I assume she would be cleared by DBS , so has no criminal record herself.

I asked Tay Tay and she said there's no room for dead Jay Jay on her private jet, but she might write a break up song about him.

Jay Slater is a high profile funeral, especially locally.
It reminds me of the late Queen Elizabeth's funeral, the funeral director's 'sticker' in the window of hearse. We all knew the name (although, I am not implying that the funeral home did it for promotional purpose)
Of course the funeral directors are doing it for promotion to try and drum up more business. They rip people off with the the exorbitant prices they charge.

I've had to arrange quite a few funerals and they are getting away with daylight robbery.

I have always hated going to funerals. I find them traumatic, upsetting and an ordeal especially when it is a very close family member. I wanted a private funeral for my dad but had to abide by my mum's wishes. I hated every second of it.

I know I'm in the minority about this and I now avoid as many funerals as I can. I'm also sick of the utter hypocrisy at them of family and so called friends who turn up having never bothered with the deceased person while they are alive.

I'm leaving my body to medical science so they hopefully won't get a penny out of me 😁

We were talking about funerals this afternoon at work (not much work gets done on a Saturday) and most of us want a direct cremation. The adverts for Pure Cremation and other companies claim to offer a package costing around 2k. Collection of body, cremation of body, delivery of ashes to family. Out of curiosity, I rang my mate who is a Bereavement Officer at the local hospital and she said independent undertakers will do a direct cremation for around £250. So that's going in my last will and testament - I want to be burned by the local undertakers and my ashes scattered on the beach. The money saved can go towards a big family piss-up party to remember me.

Maybe all this funeral money is to pay for funeral cars for his “many many” friends to attend. Always found it strange how his mum in every statement mention he had “many many” friends to me a normal mum would just say his family and friends miss him no need for the “many, many” I know it’s a stupid thing to but it wound me up 🙄
its do you know?
There’s a GFM in the news in Ireland atm, a little girl died in Oz and it’s at over €270k now “to help the family during this time”……it had a 10k limit initially for funeral I’m guessing so hope they donate the rest to a charity because it seems wrong to excessively profit from a child’s death. It should have been closed when target was hit, and I’ve this opinion for every gofundme not just jay or this one. I’ve seen ones where the recipient posts receipts in updates for the funds used and those are worth supporting (usually retrofitting homes for unexpected disabilities)
I was just reading that one earlier. Really heartbreaking that a child passed. It’s in USD so more like 145k so far.

But I really don’t get how that’s going to change anything or how they are in any more a difficult situation than the hundreds of other families who lose children almost daily:

Apparently there's an army of online tigers coming after everyone who hasn't served and protected the family. Christopher Tenerife says so.

I saw this post on Facebook earlier...

Jay's death is tragic and sad but the way people have put him on a pedestal and made him some sort of role model and inspiration is so weird. I've seen comments from people who had never met him saying they have had sleepless nights over him and haven't stopped crying since he was found. I just don't understand it
