the only update she gave during the search was about the gfm, and to request that it was shared. Never really mentioned her son. Nicest thing I’ve heard her say about him in that he’s ‘a good looking lad’
they reached 50 grand pretty quickly, you’d have thought that we’d see bigger movements in the search no that they had the funds to get people in to help if they wanted. But nope, the only movement was of the family of the people who were out in Tenerife so they could support them supporting her
would’ve been a bit more understandable if they’d even bothered their arses to attend the search - not necessarily to look for him, but to be around, give out water, put up posters. But nope, even that was too much effort.
he’s nothing special - he doesn’t deserve any grander of a send off than anyone else that’s died. There’s no pride in a funeral that has been funded by the gfm. It’s beggy. Pretty shameful really.

Good God, the times we live in. I'm really hoping that any other families currently living through the nightmare of a missing loved one or recently bereaved aren't seeing any of this awful shitshow. I mean, 'normal' families are unlikely to be spending all day online trawling for comments, unlike our Debs, so at least that's a blessing. I despair for humanity at times...

The alternative is a medical/air ambulance repatriation? Close family can travel back with Jay.
Just thinking the costs may include translation of paperwork/certificates and possible hiring of a lawyer. However, I assume LBT are helping with this/loading with consulate etc on Debbie's behalf? . Like the request of any remaining 'remains' , dependent on post mortem, ensuring embalming done within 6 days etc
If the travel insurance is valid then the (international) funeral director will sort all this, if not LBT help. The process may take longer than the family expects...I hope not as it seems the family/friends want Jay 'home' ASAP
